Pod Technical - neopod Soft Stethoscope Case

Its a soft case that opens on 3 sides and is compact. Had no issues with smell but if you sniff it it does have a neoprene like smell but it is not otherwise apparent. Fits my stethoscope well. I travel a lot with my stethoscope and it gets shoved into bags so needed something to keep it from tangling and getting damaged during transit but also was not bulky.

Firstly, this bag doesn't "stink." It's certainly not potpourri, but it's not horribly malodorous by any means. It has an almost tire like smell, that's very familiar to me, yet what it is precisely escapes me. Furthermore, you can't even smell it unless you literally put it right up to your nose. So unless you plan on putting your stethoscope in the bag, and then wearing the bag OVER YOUR FACE all day, this will never be an issue of any sort. (So I'm fairly certain almost all of the people complaining about this are women.) Seriously, I didn't even realize it had a smell, because I'd never put it anywhere near my face and don't customarily smell things that aren't meant to be smelled. It wasn't until coming here to write my own review, and seeing other reviews saying it smelled again, that I pulled it out to see for myself, and realized I had to literally place it up against my nose to smell it. So either I got a fluke "good" bag, or other reviewers are being wildly hyperbolic. Don't like the smell? Don't put it up to your face and smell it. End of story. Secondly, I saw someone criticizing it for being too soft. I'm not sure how, BY SIMPLY LOOKING AT THE PICTURE AND READING THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION, anyone would have expected anything else but a soft, malleable case. I got this to prevent abrasions. I am carrying my stethoscope in another, larger bag (which I've never smelled) with numerous other items (which I've also never smelled), some of which have components that might scuff it up. I like to take care of my tools and this bag appears it will serve that purpose just fine. Of course it's not going to prevent crush damage or anything of that nature. If you're looking for that type of protection then you obviously need to get a hard case. It should be just fine for preventing abrasions and minor puncture damage however. Obviously, if you sit on or stab the hell out of it, it's not going to protect your stethoscope. **UPDATE** The smell didn't bother me, but out of curiosity, I decided to perform an experiment. I placed the bag in front of a blower I have for a couple of days, and it seemed to significantly diminish the smell. Take that for what you will. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is a soft case, so it's not really intended to be the best protection available. With that it mind, I feel comfortable using this with my cardio scope because it doesn't force a damaging torsion on the tubing (they way many hard cases do because they aren't designed with the cardio scopes in mind). It's just big enough for my cardio 3, I have to situate it just right for the zipper to close and not damage the tubing.

It was a gift for a nurse I work with. She loved it. For size ref I was able to fit a littman master Cardiology in it. It is a soft case but thick and will protect your steth. There is only room for the steth & nothing else, but that was what I was looking for. My nurse has had this about 6mos already and it still looks like when I ordered it & healthcare really beats up your stuff. So I’m sort I would buy this again & recommend it to others if you want just a home for your steth.

Exactly what I needed for my stethoscope. It’s slim and not too big. Does have a little smell but that’s normal for the type of material. Definitely not enough smell to write a bad review... also fits perfect in my nursing bag.

Soft, durable material...I'm happy got this for my stethoscope because I am also able to hide my pulse ox, thermometer and mini miscellaneous items in this case!

This holds my stethoscope safely in my bag w all my stuff. Its a Littman and it's nice to know it's not bring smashed about by my books. :)

It's true what the other reviewers have said, it does have an awful smell to it that not even washing it helps. Worst part is that you can't even return the product. If you can get past the smell I guess it would make a great case for a not so expensive stethoscope. It is a bit big, the stethoscope just floats around in it, wish it would hug the stethoscope for a more secure fit. Three stars because it was delivered promptly, the product is as stated (they should warn about the smell though).

Lovely item, good quality, protects my stethoscope well - used for a litman 3100 so I wanted a great quality case!! good fit still have room for few other bits and Bob's too. Arrived next day!

Ho preso questa custodia per proteggere (al meglio) un ottimo (e costoso) fonendoscopio Littmann. Arrivato puntualmente e ben protetto da un packaging adeguato (grazie Amazon...) ho potuto apprezzarne le caratteristiche positive: le dimensioni (29cm x 15cm) sono abbastanza comode da evitare un numero eccessivo di piegature del tubo; il neoprene di cui è fatto ha spessore adeguato a proteggere la parte delicata dello strumento (campana e membrana) da urti e cadute, con una superficie piacevolmente morbida. L'odore "gommoso" (tipico di questi oggetti quando sono nuovi) dovrebbe attenuarsi gradualmente: in caso contrario mi rassegnerò a dare una bella lavata a questa custodia. La zip di chiusura sembra adeguatamente robusta; le cuciture sono curate e precise. L'intera realizzazione si segnala per un rapporto qualità/prezzo decisamente conveniente. Mi sembra superfluo precisare che questo ottimo "contenitore" non è destinato ad un uso univoco: comodo e versatile com'è ci si potrà mettere quello che si vuole (unico limite la fantasia...), sicuri di un adeguato grado di protezione. Non posso che dichiararmi estremamente soddisfatto

è un semplice astuccio in neoprene ma molto più utile e funzionale di quello "rigido" (li ho acquistati entrambi) lo consiglio visto anche il prezzo abbastanza conveniente
