This is a ballpoint pen. It's a lovely pen and I use mine constantly. It's not as smooth as a rollerball, but you don't have to worry about ink smudge. I use both. I use my ballpoint for writing notes for courses and my journal and for any longer writing that requires speed, whilst I use my rollerball for occasional notes and reminders etc. that are less likely to smudge. Personally, I love this pen. It is beautiful, comfortable, well made, and writes well. As long as you are aware that it is a ballpoint and will not write/flow in the same manner as a rollerball or gel pen, I can't see anyone not loving this pen. It is also one of the prettiest that I own. It is really classy looking. I think my only grumble would be that it comes with blue ink initially and you don't have the option to order with black ink. If you want black, you have to buy extra refills in black and swap the inks over.

This pen was great! I had it for 3 months and managed to lose it (I have a lot of yellow things in the house, who knows where it is hiding). It has really nice ink flow unlike the pens I used when I was younger. I have yet to try it with a refillable waterman cartridge but will update if it works.It was very comfy to hold, a very nice weight and size (I have small hands though). Really classy looking pen. I'm rebuying it because I liked it so much and don't want to write without it now!! Hopefully the other pen turns up some day then I will have 2....

I like everything about this Waterman 'Allure' Ballpoint Pen.As a pen aficionado, I find there's nothing to dislike about the Allure.They are built with superb quality, as expected from Waterman and have a nicely balanced weight.I bought the ballpoint pen in baby blue colour at a Deal of £9.98 with free next day delivery via Prime.The pen is presented in a box & consists of an oblong white cardboard box that contains the blue Waterman sleeve around the pen holder and the guarantee.An ideal gift especially for females, though I've bought it just for me.

Gorgeous pen. Waterman quality for a fraction of the price. Has a nice weight to it. Writes smoothly although I wouldn’t say the quality of the refill is any greater than a Parker quinkflow. Overall, would recommend.

OK, I'm a bit obsessed with Pens! However I do like a good fountain pen, and having not used one for ages, I decided to give this a try. It's quite light to hold which is great if you're doing a lot of writing as it doesn't make your hand ache too much. Does not scratch the paper and delivers nice even ink flow. It's now my 'go to' pen and might even over-take my rollerball. Really impressed for such a reasonably priced pen. Comes in a cardboard 'slide out' box.
