Do you even lift Bro?
These 5lb Olympic weight plates are the featherweights of the gym—perfect for when you want to flex just hard enough to impress your cat. They slide onto the barbell like a charm, adding a whisper of resistance that says, "I'm training, but I also have a brunch to make." Durable, sleek, and great for micro-gains or just pretending you lifted more than you did. Five stars for making my ego feel heavy!

Great affordable weight plates
I ordered these to go with a CAP starter weight set. I worked up to needing more weight. I was lucky and purchased two when they were on sale. The weight is accurate. The plates are also easy to grip because of the design. The numbers are easy to see. Everything was packaged well from the seller. I would recommend these to anyone adding to their home gym.

They're beautiful! Just beautiful!
I was expecting a plain old weight plate made of steel, and so I was quite delighted with that glossy, smoky black coating on each of the plates. It looks quite lovely. The 2.5-pound plate is SO very useful for us little old ladies who insist on continuing weight resistance training in our sixties. I'm grateful to Amazon for carrying the fine products of CAP! Will be purchasing more throughout the remaining year.

Progressive Overload Gold
This is the best purchase you can make with respect to progressive overload. How often do you walk into a commercial gym only to find some crayon eater has either misplaced or stolen the 2.5lb weights? And if you're not looking for them, you need to be, there is no better way to incrementally add weight to your lifts than this bad boy. Any lower and it's not effective, any higher and you're playing losing psychological battle between your current and next PR.

Great value.
Get these on sale and it’s an excellent value. The quality is great although they are some high spots on the paint that can scratch your fingers when lifting the weights. There true to size and built good for the money.

4.5 of 5 stars
EDIT: Lowered stars to 4 of 5 because the silver paint on the numbers has not dried after months, and it gets on my fingers almost every lift. My original review is still below. To start off the new year, I got six 2.5, four 5, and four 10 pound CAP plates to add to my growing collection. They are all perfect for my use. GOOD: The overall feel of the plates is great. I have been using these for over 2 months now, and I have zero complaints. Putting six 2.5 pounders in a bundle (instead of four) was a nice idea. BAD: The paint is not always accurate, but it is good on most. Some of the silver paint from the numbers transferred to my hand at first, but I think it finally dried. I also noticed on a single plate there was a small, sharp burr that I was able to snap off before it became a problem. END: In the image, you can see each size along with a 10-lb Fitness Gear for comparison. I did not weigh any of the plates to confirm they are the correct weight, but if you are into that level of detail, these are probably too cheaply made for your purposes. If you are an at-home gym rat like me, these are fine for most uses.

Don't spend $$$ on magnet change plates
Another company on here wanted to charge $60 for a pair of magnetic 2.5 lbs plates to use on metal dumbbells. Don't do that. Get these and some block magnets, now you have 3 pairs for much cheaper.
