Can I purchase the same type of batteries to use to if needed for continuous power?

Apologies, Shaun J., but i'm confused by the question. The light uses two 18650A Li-ion batteries (3.7v 7.4Wh 2000mAh each included with my purchase). Those are available to purchase separately and can be used with any device that uses this style battery, or to use to change out when pre-charged as extended power backup with the AlpsWolf lantern. These 18650A Li-ion batteries are longer than D and C akaline batteries, and smaller in diameter than C, but have the same form as to + & - using spring loaded contacts. Please clarify further if you still need info. :-)

What type of batteries does item take?

The AlpsWolf Multi-Functional Search Light ("Camping Lantern") uses two 18650A Li-ion batteries (mine came with two 3.7v 2000mAh ea). They are located under a green cover (under the main handle) that snaps off (3 inside lip clips on each side).

Best buy for a gift or for yourself

My sister was looking for a few more ideas this past Christmas for gifts for her husband. I showed her this flashlight. Got it gifted it to him, well after I tried it out. I order 2 more, one for me & one for my husband. I will be buying one each for my grandson's & son inlaw. I highly recommend this flashlight for yourself or as a gift. Again I would love to post photos or video, but the camera in the app isn't working. 🤨🫤
