This Pool Mate product raises the calcium hardness in pool water. It dissolves easily, rapidly raises the hardness and is very reasonably priced when purchased in the 25 pound size.

Used to increase your pool's calcium levels. Use a pool chemical calculator to determine how much. They get VERY HOT when in contact with water--so don't hold in your hand and lower into the water like a fool. You'll hear about dissolving or this method or that method. I weigh what I need and toss it in the deep end by the drain...then brush a bit until they dissolve or get sucked into the drain and I'm done. Recheck a few days later to make sure it was enough--always, always better to put in less and add more later because you can't take it back out--have to drain and refill to reduce high calcium levels.
