Is the feeder waterproof? Can it be used outdoors in winter?

How much volume is in each portion?

1 portion is 10g. I measured out how much my cat's 1/8 cup meal is on my kitchen scale. It came out to about 15g; making 20g a smidge over 1/8 cup. So for my cat's food, it came out to 1 portion = 10g = 1/16 cup. Example: my cat needs 1/4 cup total daily, so I would need 4 portions. I don't know how well that transfers to dog food, since it is larger and less circular.

Will there be a warning when the feeder gets stuck?

When E-01 appears on the screen, it indicates that the food outlet is blocked. Please clean the food outlet in time, otherwise the feeder will not feed again. You can adjust the speed and amount of food according to your pet's eating habits. When E-02 appears on the screen, it indicates that the feeder is abnormal in feeding position. Please check whether there is foreign matter in the food barrel or the food size is too large to cause the machine to work normally.
