Effective and Cheap
I love these! I have perpetually chapped lips, living in the desert, but I love to wear bright lipstick, often matte, which can really reveal your lip condition. These help a lot, although if you are super mega chapped, it may take a couple days of going back and forth with exfoliator and balm, to be totally good. I actually prefer this oldest iteration of the E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator, it gets the job done the best. But it's the most scratchy, some people seem to think it's too harsh, so that's why they made the new one. But I already bathe with Asian super hard bath cloths, including on my face, so rough exfoliation is no problem for me. But they also have one that's just white sugar (no walnut or apricot husk or whatever the brown things are) that is softer and works fine for more gentle and mild exfoliation. That one comes in a bunch of flavors, and this one is brown sugar flavor. I usually buy both and use whatever I need that time. You use it by just rubbing it across your lips until you have removed all the dead skin and your lips look smooth (then you wipe it all off with a kleenex). You should not wet them first. This scrub is better than the pot kind, IMO, because the scubby bits are so super dense and really scrub fast and effective. A lot of the pot ones have a lot of balm in them and just a little bit scrubby bits and barely exfoliate anything. I usually get around 5 uses per stick, so not a whole lot, but it's also not expensive so I think the price is fair. It's nothing like a real lipstick where you might get 100s of applications off a stick.

Absolutely Amazing!
Delivers as advertised! It smells great, is very moisturizing, and works from the first application! I love the fact I don’t have to get my fingers involved: I just apply it like lipstick and then rub my lips together. I’ve used chapstick repeated throughout a day and have never gotten results like this before! My lips are no longer chapped or rough and now when I do put on lipstick, it lasts longer and the colors is brighter and smooth! I’m going to buy this for my daughters and get them hooked too!

Feels & tastes great
Effective. Strong. Only downside is that the stick starts to break down/almost disintegrate within a week.

Bad quality
I have bought this same product in drugstores and it’s always smooth going on and tastes good, and is an effective lip exfoliator at half the price. The product that arrived via this seller on Amazon was dry and tacky, smelled and tasted off, and was impossible to apply. There is a no return policy and so disappointingly it had to go straight into the trash.

It tastes sweet if you get some in your mouth
There's an initial waxy layer to get through before you actually get to the exfoliating part, but once you do, it works quite well. It tastes sweet if you get some in your mouth, but other flavors in it aren't great. I dampen my lips and rub the "lipstick" back and forth over all of my lips, then focus on problem areas. Next, I rub my lips together with the exfoliating bits still on, then wipe it off with a cloth dampened with warm water. While there are hydrating ingredients in the exfoliator itself, it's definitely important to add lip balm or another moisture barrier immediately after use. It really helps matte lipsticks go on more smoothly.

Great for lips
I've used this product years ago. It's great. My lips smell and taste great and the sugar gets rid of discoloration and chapped lips! It looks super natural because it is natural. A must use. Brown sugar lips ❤️

Broken on Arrival
Upon opening the stick the product was in the cover but I managed to get it back in the tube. Although it is eligible for return I decided to keep it; works really well. I will probably try again with another purchase hoping this was an isolated incident.

Don’t judge by first use! There is a bit of a wax coating that you need to work through a little bit first. Then prepare for great exfoliation and to be left with soft, supple, hydrated lips.
