Loctite 135355 Blue 242 Medium Strength Thread Locker, 50 mL Bottle

This is old blue, the best of the medium duty thread lockers. This is the economy size. Anything that rattles or vibrates needs a drop of this during assembly. Good Stuff.

I often need threadlocker for different things around the house and those little tubes just don't cut it!! Problem solved.This thread locker keeps things tight but you can take it apart if you need to. Good for screws in computers too...what do you thing that blue on the screw is! Loctite 242!!

Because my Harley constantly tries to shake itself apart, I need fastener/thread lock on nearly all of my bolts and screws. I just need to remember to keep straight when I want to use the blue Loctite (often) and when I want to use the red (rarely). :-)

I almost feel sorry writing what is essentially a negative review of this product.I use a lot of LocTite products. I probably have 7 or 8 different types in my tool box as I need various strengths - and I need high temperature versions for my racing engines.The problem with this item isn't what is inside the bottle, but the bottle itself.I bought the larger bottle as I use 242 for lots of fasteners.When this arrived, I snipped the tip of the dispenser, and used it.Today I went to use it again, and nothing would come out of the bottle.It seems there is some sort of indirect passageway for the fluid to come out of the bottle, I guess to help avoid exposure of the contents to the air, and the entire bottle thickening.Evidently a bit of it did thicken up, and it blocked this passageway.Tried everything I could think of to clear the openings, and could not get the product to dispense.I finally took a very small drill and drilled a hole on the center of the bottom side of the dispensing tip.Very annoying, and now I'm half expecting the product to solidify prematurely.Very, very annoying.

Bottle arrived in Chinese no directions or tool on how to open or pop the applicator. Great product if in English and or had instructions I could read,or,a tool to open

Great product,comes in hard to find container and has a fair price.I will use it on my motorcycle ,repairs and maintaince .

Received this product and bottle was half full with no seal from the factory. Who knows what's really inside this bottle. Buyers should be careful since this is used to keep bolts from backing out, in my case on automotive applications. Last thing I want is a bolt from a cv axle backing out. My bottle also looks like it was intended to be sold outside of the USA since most of the writing on the bottle looks Chinese.
