This product is actually 90-100% MINERAL OIL, which IS a petroleum distillate. I don't know if maybe Francine meant to say there is no LEMON OIL, which is true, but there is MINERAL OIL. It's actually very similar to baby oil, it seems, with just a different fragrance. There are warnings about ingesting baby oil too. Mineral oil isn't toxic itself, but there is danger of aspiration pneumonia if it is ingested. **Q: This item is less than $4 in the stores, why are you charging so much? I just recently came into the possession of a hardwood table and chair set so I kissed them with a little bit of this to condition the wood to a really nice result. As an amateur guitar technician, I feel obliged to mention, if you're eyeing this for your guitar, just buy a bottle of Dunlop, MusicNomad, or other specialized brand as that way you can guarantee you're getting pure mineral oil with fretboared-safe additives. This is great for any other wood, but for a guitar it's just not worth the risk of damaging your fretboard over time (especially if it's an expensive wood like rosewood!). This will do in a pinch, but better safe than sorry, hey?
