MistKing 22259 Screen Top Wedge

Works as expected. Easy to install. Well worth the small cost.

If you have the right tools, you could easily make one of these out of sheet metal. But you need a proper metal brake to cut the shape. Flimsy sheet metal would bend too easily, so you'd need the thicker stuff. That said, this works well for what it's supposed to do, which is allow you to firmly mount a misting nozzle into the corner of a screen cage top. Pretty pricey for a piece of plastic though. Buy once, cry once.

I will preface this by saying that installing these wedges on the 18x18x24” Thrive brand tank was tedious, to say the least. Maybe I’m just feeble, but it took me a good bit longer than I expected to drill them in and cut the mesh holes out. All I can say is don’t be scared to put some elbow grease into it.That being said, these are really expensive. Unfortunately, there’s not really any other product like it to buy, so you’d have to make the effort to DIY a wedge. I’ve seen some people make them using plywood overtop the mesh, but buying these is so you don’t have to put in the effort of DIY. So, I kind of get it. But not really. If these were $5-$6 even, I’d give them 5 stars without a second thought. Despite the steep price for plastic, these ARE excellent to have for your mist king. It keeps your setup very sleek, and blends in with the overall tank and environment well. Quite discreet and keep your tank from looking like a tube jungle gym with zip ties begging for their lives (from my experience).Overall I am really pleased with them and I’m glad I ended up buying them, it’s just the price point that irks me! But, I say if you’re already dumping the money into a MistKing, you may as well go all out.

I wasn’t sure if it was really going to be worth it but boy was I wrong! It has so much durability when installing a mistking nozzle. I’ve added them to the screen tops of all of my enclosures.

This was a perfect addition to the Mist King system for my chameleon enclosure. Easy to install and provides great support and anchor point for the mist head at the top of the enclosure.

This helped my mist king nozzle stay in place and not rip the screen. I highly suggest getting one for a screen cage.

If you are converting an aquarium I think you are better off making your own. I returned mine because I made a custom vent and it would not fit without taking up a size larger than the vent. If your entire top is screen then it may work for you
