Eagle Creek Afar Backpack, Tan/Olive, One Size

I love this back pack. Used it recently for international travel with kids. I like that it's mostly top loading (stuff doesn't fall out the bottom if it's unzipped too far). They have nicely engineered a lot of details, like the height and position of the side and front mesh. I holds a nice amount, not too much. It's a nice improvement from the Eagle Creek bags from a few years back, which were also good.

This is a great bag. I bought it to take along with my carry-on luggage. It conveniently slips over the rolling luggage, so I thought it was perfect. I had had an old Eagle Creek bag that I always brought as my 2nd bag, on the plane, but after many years, it began to fall apart, so, of course, I looked first to Eagle Creek to replace this favorite bag. Unfortunately, I was looking for a bag that I could fit my meals in for long plane trips and this bag, although it has many of the things I wanted and lots of great aspects, has too many compartments, thereby, making it hard to fit much in any one section of the bag. So, for my use, this bag fell short, although it is an excellent backpack and, unlike other smaller day backpacks, this one has a waist belt, which was another thing I was looking for. I just wish it didn't have any compartments, then it would be perfect. I may end up cutting out the section partitions.

I have had many backpacks in my career. I love my Eagle Creek suitcase so I decided so I decided to try their backpack. The laptop pocket is great. All other pockets are without structure and I can never find anything in it, no matter where I put stuff. It was not cheap, but I am forced to invest in a new backpack to eliminate the frustration I have using this one. Disappointed. Still, love my Eagle Creek suitcase.

I bought this to replace my old Eagle Creek Afar which is beginning to show signs of road wear. I was happy that it the new version had a back pocket to slip over the handle of my rolling bag. What I didn't realize is this new bag has a smaller interior (possibly,because of the new back panel) and did not hold as much as my older one. Unfortunately I did not return this one in time so will find a use for it on short trips. It appears to be well made but does not fit my needs .

My wife and I love Eagle Creek gear. A few years back, I bought an Eagle Creek light blue rolling suitcase with backpack straps and needed a matching backpack with RFID protection, plenty of pockets, lock-ability, bottle holders and a padded laptop sleeve. I've used it on several trips and it meets my needs, having secure zipped pockets for all my personal gear. It's well made, has the features I needed, fits onto the handle of my wheeled suitcase and is comfortable to wear.

Very Disappointed - Exterior is usual high quality product from Eagle Creek, should last for ever - Back slip opening not large enough to fit over my Travel Pro luggage handle - Big pocket zipper only opens about 1/3 of way, very hard to pack or get items at bottom, should open all the way - Interior pockets poorly laid out, limited functionality - Zippers safe but hard to use, over engineered

My husband has this same day pack and it works well for traveling. I was a little disappointed that upon inspecting the interior pocket I found that the Velcro was held on by only two stitches. It is a small square piece of Velcro that was once sewed properly (around all four sides) but the stitching had pulled out and was shipped to me that way. I know this because you can see the holes where it was once stitched. It wasn't enough to send it back since I need it for an upcoming trip. The price is on the high end for a day pack and I expected better quality control.

Love eagle creek and bought this because it matches my luggage. I have the gear warrior 32 in the same blue. Nicely made backpack and holds everything I need. My only complaint is that it’s almost too big. More too long I guess. I’m a 5’11” woman and this feels like it swallows my back. That’s never happened with other backpacks. Kinda odd.

Good layout of compartments. Build quality seems Ok, but haven't tested the backpack in rain and snow yet, so cannot comment on waterproofing.

100席以下の機内持ち込み用に購入しました 以前同じメーカーの同色のキャリーバッグを持っているのでお揃いになり満足しています キャリーバッグのアームが後ろの所に通す事が出来て持ち運びには最適ですね リュックタイプで平置きした時に上部が大きく開くのもホテルなどで荷物をパッキングするのに便利です 総重量も軽くて重宝してます 内側のポケットがたくさんありますが、出来れば外にもチャック付きの収納がもう少しあれば星5つですね

肩掛けの問題なのか、バランスの問題なのか、、、背負いづらいくて重く感じます。

日本では今やなかなか手に入らないブランドなのか、あまり店舗で見ないし、扱ってる店舗では種類が少なく、入手するのを諦めていました。でも今回アマゾンで購入できて、細かいところまでの配慮した商品の作りやデザインに満足しています。
