It depends on your taste buds - it says a minty herbal flavor/taste. Whether it's too minty herbal or not, or just right - it's up to you. Try it - I did. I also tried 2 other Red Seal Toothpaste choices offered. I prefer the one with the baking soda in it - it works best for me - taste-wise, etc.

what is the abrasiveness of this red seal toothpaste? thank you!

I do not feel this tooth paste was too abrasive. I used it because I had to use a non whitening toothpaste which is very hard to find but I do need fluoride so I had to find another toothpaste.

The description says "no sls", but some reviewers says it does contain sls. which is the truth?

I have been searching for a non paraben, non SLS, toothpaste for a long time. To my surprise almost all the popular brands in the market have loads of SLS which is a carcinogenic product and not ideal to be put in mouth first thing in the morning. Red Seal toothpaste is made in NZ and they mention all their ingredients on the packing. The toothpaste is mild, does not have aftertaste, does not have loads of sugar and is doing its work well. I do not have bad breath throughout the day and also gave relieve in my toothache. Give it a try.
