Perfect for what we needed it for. We have planted new holly trees around our house and the deer kept eating them. We were told to put this around them and they would leave the trees alone and they did! It was strong and you could smell the pepper as soon as you opened the product. For the amount that we needed it was perfect price because you are not going to get this size in the store. Potency was perfect as they deer have stayed away and our trees are still alive. Easy to use to open and to pour. Highly recommend this product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bought this due to being able to buy high volume to use as needed in garden. I did take a bit out and put in a spice jar for personal use, and it is very good quality, tastes great, but I bought it to use to place around my garden. I have three issues I wanted to take care of and all three were indeed handled by using this: squirrels that were digging in the garden bed, flower bed, and removing things; raccoon family that was intent on just being destructive and didnt seem to want to eat anything, just run through and dig; and most importantly a neighbor who likes to walk their dog into our yard and allow their dog to do their business in our flower garden and area and does not pick it up - they act like our yard is a dog park area but they don't pick up. Was driving me nuts but didnt want to start an issue with a neighbor. I decided to try this. It worked, the dog sniffed the edge of the yard where I had sprinkled this and just went by. Even with coaxing the dog by the owner, it didn't step in the yard. Squirrels quit visiting the garden and flower bed, and raccoons moved on. You do have to reapply when it rains, but that is fine. I think at this point it just isn't interesting to the dog or the neighbor to visit our yard anymore, and wildlife has moved on as well. So happy to have found a deterent that wasn't chemical based. I do have my own pets and I felt this would be safer should they explore or walk through the area as well. Quality: Works great as a food spice, but worked amazingly in ridding our yard and garden areas of an inconsiderate neighbor and some destructive wildlife. Functionality: Worked as expected with food. Worked beyond expectations for garden and yard use. Value for money: More than worth the price. I got some great cayenne pepper for the kitchen, kept from having a dispute with a neighbor, my yard is not so attractive to the dog anymore so the neighbor has quit visiting us and leaving behind what he should pick up, wildlife has been deterrred as well Longevity: For use around the yard, you do have to reapply after rain. However, I believe there is some residual benefits for now I don't apply as often and there is the same benefit as if I did frequently. Hope this helps!

I had a major cleaning session of old spices in the kitchen cabinet and was throwing out things that had passed "best before date" with good margins - some were even from the time before those dates.... [cough, cough...] WHY did I buy such a large container of Cayenne then? I am coming to that. But first, I emptied out the old small spice jar/shaker for Cayenne and refilled it with this, for kitchen/cooking use. BTW, this pepper is not only HOT, it has great flavor besides the heat. After the smoke stops coming out of your ears, it is really tasty. But add only a little at a time, unless your are into really hot food and drinks. Now, the main reason I bought such a large amount: environmentally friendly chipmunk and other four-legged small critter deterrent! It does not bother birds. Using an empty Planters peanut plastic "bottle", I powder around all the chipmunk holes in the garden; drilled a lot of small holes in the cap of the bottle and use it as a "baby powder"-type squeezable bottle. Does it work? Yes, it does! But you have to keep at it, because they dig new holes and tunnels. Eventually they give up and go somewhere else, probably pestering my neighbors now. + nice color + price/amount + flavor (after the first shock...) + chipmunks hate it - none that I can think of.

Seems to be working for its intended purpose which is keeping animals out of the yard at night. I will update as I intend to sprinkle this around the area of entree weekly. Raccoons and cats are treating the yard as if it is a home and so far after just two days, I have yet to see any activity. I will update this in one month. I think that is a sufficient upon on time to determine if its a deterrent. Update: A year later. This keeps them away but not for longer thn a week or two. You must stay consistent! I haven't been but when I see them I am reminded lol Works for me and I hope it works for you.

I love cayenne pepper, it’s so good for any kind of pain, try it in your coffee, it give it a spicy flavor. It’s also good for heart a tack and stoke a blood thinner and don’t forget pain a few sprinkles is all you need. I hope this helps. Btw I love it in my foods.
