Francois Pralus Le 100% Chocolate Bar - 6 pack

The most amazing 100% chocolate I’ve ever tried. It’s an acquired taste and those giving a bad review must be fans of sweetened chocolate, but if you are looking for pure, smooth, deep Madagascar bean chocolate taste - this is absolute perfection. My best treat ever!

This brand Francois Pralus Le 100% is the only 100% that I've tried that doesn't taste like tree bark. It's smooth and creamy in the mouth and not bitter. I'm eating no sugar and this chocolate is a treat which satisfies cravings. Just a little square is enough.

This is the best 100% chocolate bar I've tried. I did a taste test of 3 different 100% chocolate bars based on a site I found where 3 people compared 5 brands--I purchased and compared the top 3. The Pralus flavor is a little milder than the Manjari 100% Cocoa Paste and Chocolat Bonnat 100% cacao, but I actually prefer this, maybe because of the lack of sugar. The Pralus BIO Le had the best texture and seemed to melt in my mouth most easily--easier to savor. Chocolat Bonnat was more bitter and didn't melt well. Valrona Manjari 100% Cocoa Paste, which was the #1 ranked chocolate in the informal 3-person review, had a mild fermented taste to it that I didn't like.

Very good dark chocolate, but you can get chocolate just as good for less money.

This is awe full tasting! I have never tasted any chocolate with this flavor before, bitter yuck.... not for me, maybe for others, but not me. Very expensive taste test....

This bar is delicious but I must admit that it had to grow on me. We are used to eating the World Market 99% dark chocolate bars which are delicious but A LOT sweeter than this bar. After I got used to the reduced sweetness (compared to the World Market bar) of this bar, I'd say that it's the best chocolate I ever had. It has no added sugar but the chocolate itself has a sweetness to it and the texture is so creamy and wonderful. Just let it melt in your mouth, it's divine. Folks who are used to the milk chocolate at the super market checkout will NOT enjoy this but if you are used to no or very low sugar dark chocolate, this will be a treat!

Definitely my favorite of the 100% Chocolates I've tried - and I've tried a lot. I estimate 30-60 different options. Since it's one of my favorite things, whenever I see one I haven't tried, I make a point of buying it to try. I'm satisfied with the 100% Pralus I got from Amazon in the USA, but for any other chocolate crazy peeps: if you're ever in Europe, try to get some 100% Pralus while you're there, even if you have to order it and ship it to a friend//hotel, etc. From my experience, the Pralus bars I've had while in Germany (probably 20+ bars) were even more heavenly than those I got in from Amazon while in the USA. I imagine the longer shipping and, most likely, storing of the bars for the USA market lead to less flavor, etc. The time until the "best by" dates does seem to be significantly shorter on the bars I got from Amazon in the USA vs. other stores in Germany. But again, I am satisfied with what I got from Amazon in the USA. I imagined the 100% Pralus I'd get in the USA might not be as good due to shipping and storing, etc., and am still satisfied with what I got, and enjoy it very much. Definitely one of the best I've had during my long visit to the USA after living in Europe for years and being spoiled with the 100% chocolate selection there.

I found this to be okay, but I found it too focused on texture, rather than flavor. I tried five different 100% chocolate bars, and this one is certainly one of the two least bitter, but I also found it one of the less flavorful. On the other hand, it does have a remarkably creamy texture. I would guess this is because of a high cocoa butter content. If you want a creamy chocolate that is not too bitter, I think this one is for you.
