Love these oil pastels!
These oil pastels are most definitely worth the money, I paid $8 for them and am so happy with them. The only other oil pastels I've used before are the Kingart brand, and I like these much more than those. They do smell quite strongly of oil, so use them in a well-ventilated area. They don't blend perfectly, but layering them is a good method. If you do want to blend them, instead of using your finger, I use one of those blending stumps you use for pencil or charcoal. They are really fun to use, although they are quite crumbly, so I recommend using some kind of soft, cheap brush to keep your work clear of crumbles. Overall, I think these are a great deal for the money.

My 4 year old loves these!
These are like a much oilier, pigmented, and smooth crayon. I’ve only ever used this brand of oil pastels so I don’t know how it compares to others but they were very creamy and blended well into one another. My 4 year old LOVES using these much more than crayons. Be aware there will be little shavings that smudge pretty easily and will stick to fingers.

Not bad for the price.
Well priced pastels, colors are vibrant and they are comfortable in your hand. Fun to relax and draw with. So far they've been pretty durable.

Fun colors and a good price.
These oil pastels are really beautiful. They are easy to use and are not messy. The price for them is also very good...not expensive. A little goes a long way so I'm sure they will last for a long time.

The Best Price you will find for such a wonderful selection of quality colors.
I Love these Oil Pastels and YOU WILL NOT find a better price anywhere then these ones for sale on Amazon!Especially for a Set of 50 that includes several shades of your Yellow, Blue & Red Primaries as well as your Secondary Greens, (Which I favor) Orange & Purples. It’s nice to have an array of Colors which makes it less difficult then if you had only a few and had to mix all the time. These are also very good Quality Pastels and easy for anyone to work with.As someone myself who is not very artistic, I like using this Medium as these Pastels don’t dry up real quick like Acrylic Paints which gives me time.I think Painting with Pastels is like a Marriage of Finger Painting and sculpting with Clay, I literally push Colors around with my Fingers where I want them and smear them to blend adding or taking away layers to fix my mistakes (I make a lot) and for effect. You can also use a Kneaded Eraser to pick up Colors and something I just Ordered on Amazon Tortillions to blend around edges as I personally am finding that my big fingers can’t get detailed areas with out pushing some adjacent colors I don’t want to shift.I also have found sketching what your going to paint first with a charcoal pencil makes it easier kind of like Coloring you can use the Kneaded Eraser to get your sketch right no worries you’ll cover it with these Oil Pastels, make sure to erase it anyways just leaving a light outline to cover or your pastel will mix with and smear the Charcoal.I think you will Love these Oil Pastels you will for sure continue buying I already bought 2 more after this Purchase! Here is my first Painting of a Sunflower and a Snowman I did next as Christmas Gift. You cac see my other Picture they came in a plastic tray which I left them in to keep organized, but I’ve cut in half to fit in my Easel Drawer.

Not what I had hoped
I have to say I had great hopes for these. I found them to be very dry and very transparent. They work ok as a ground but i layered over the top with my Mungyo, which are still my favorite.
