Bob's Red Mill Organic Medium Grind Cornmeal, 24 OZ

This is coarse corn mill, not the light airy product you get in those small blue boxes from the cake aisle. This is for making real cornbread. So for those who complain about its grit, they are not aware of what they are buying. And for those looking for something heartier, this is it! It is worth the cost and comes with a recipe on the bag as well as the website where you can find more. I would recommend experimenting with it! You can add grated cheese into the mix or even on top when it's almost done. It makes for a great pour-over for cast iron chili where the chili seeps a little through the top. Yum. Or how about a can of drained Rotel or peppers for a little spice o' life? Whatever you do, don't use this expecting a smooth, silky, cakey-soft "cornbread". This is not that. This is so much better! I also have used this to make cornmeal dressing that was so delicious! And... even coarser, you can still serve it with honey butter - a perfect treat!
