Hakubaku noodles are actually made in Australia but are the #1 top seller in Japan, whether udon, soba, somen or green tea cha soba. I've loved all those products for many years since they are made w/o salt.

These type of udon are different from regular rice udon which are thinner, so I don't think they are fatten-up as they cook.
