Great idea, and they work well too
I love the idea of compostable cutlery. I have all sorts of travel cutlery that I like to use, but sometimes you almost need something you can throw away, and the more guilt free the better. This comes with each place setting inside a compostable bag. There is a fork, spoon, knife, and napkin in each. The cutlery feels pretty hard, like regular plastic. There was no taste to them, and they mostly worked they way they should. The knife isn't going to cut a well done steak, but it will cut regular food just fine. The spoon has a deep enough bowl to be useful (sometimes green spoons are a little too flat to use). The fork has sharp enough tines to spear almost anything you want to eat. The only issue I had was that when I wanted to cut something with the side of the fork, it immediately snapped. I wasn't doing it hard either. So apparently these are a little more brittle than regular plastic, but when I used them like you're supposed to (fork = spearing food, not cutting) they were perfect. That said, these are really great, and the price ($5 for 5 packs) is great for compostable. They are cheaper per pack if you get larger packs.

For the Guy Who Can't Remember There's a Metal Spoon in His Lunchbox
And empties it into the toilet, and flushes it, wedging said metal spoon into the plumbing so badly, had to pull the toilet off the the floor. So hopefully if he does it again... it'll be one of these.
