Installed this on my Savage 12FV while I did some other upgrades to it but didn't want to take the scope off. So, over the shoulder pad it went... and slowly and most difficultly I'd have to say. I did turn it inside out as recommended and got it on eventually. Once on, putting the right pad on was also hard. Eventually got it and once on, it feels really nice. Just be aware that you will have to invest some time and effort to get this on your rifle.

I don't always leave reviews on products but this one deserves a review. My .22 rifle has a large objective lens 50mm and the scope sets high above the barrel so it needs a tall stock comb. The 5/8s inch pad raises my face high enough to see through the scope just perfect. It's a little tight but isn't that just what you want so it doesn't move around. I removed the barrel, trigger and trigger guard down to bare stock. That made it easier to assemble in less than 5 minutes. Nothing permanent done to stock. I would recommend this product to anyone with this same problem that I was faced with.

Super annoying to install but hasn’t shifted around on me. Soft and lots of shim sizes. Would recommend.

I really debated on how to rate the Beartooth comb riser. If you are only using one pad or two and follow the directions, installation is fairly easy. On the other hand, if you're trying to get a major rise impact using 3 pads you'll be in for a real battle. I converted a Remington Versamax shotgun that shot left at 40 yds due to manufacturing issues into an extreme turkey gun by installing an Sig tactical green dot meaning I needed about a 1 1/2' rise for proper cheek contact. Now as a power lifter with 7 state records, I'm not exactly a wimp, but it took me over an hour of extreme pulling to cover all three pads. I ended up removing some skin from my fingers but eventually got this thing fitted. I admit the result is excellent and now I have pin point accuracy with this shotgun and I am really excited to use it this fall. That said, Beartooth needs a better way to slide the neoprene back over the riser pads as the rubber backing of the sleeve making contact with the pads will not allow easy movement. I recommend a thin slippery nylon insert cut to the dimensions of the pads to allow the sleeve to slide easier. I'll give Beartooth credit for one thing for sure, this sleeve is really tough and well stitched. I literally used some significant pulling force to get this thing on and the neoprene and seams all held up. All this to say that with an improved method for installation over multiple pads, this sleeve would be a 5 star tool. It really has solved my issue for a high rise on the shotgun comb and now I have a true turkey killer shotgun.

Follow directions for install! It only took me about 10 min of tugging and stretching to get it installed by following the directions (I did not remove stock nor scope-worked it on from back of stock using their inside out method). With 20 MOA base and low rings and 1” scope with 40 objective, I needed two pads stacked (the second thinnest beneath the thickest one) for a nice cheek weld height. It comes with 5 varied thickness semi hard rubberlike foam pads. Tip: try different pad thicknesses/combos by using rubber band to hold and try before installing the sleeve so you don’t have to redo it. Once sleeve in place it seems to fit “like a glove”. So far so good.

It pretty much does what it is imtended to do. Design is good . Funtion is good, Hoever ,for foam and neopream materials. Pricey . Would I buy again ? Not at that figure

This is a very nice piece of equipment. I recently mounted a Vortex Crossfire 4-12x40 AO into Monstrum Pro Series 1" medium rings on a Savage 93R17, and my cheek weld seemed WAY low, lol. I blame it on poor stock design from Savage. I tried this and, using the second largest insert, it's now PERFECT, and makes for beautiful alignment. I did see right away why there are complaints from other reviewers about the difficulty of putting this on. But I took advice from them and removed the stock and worked on that alone. Then I did read the directions, which have you turn the sock inside out and reverse it, then slide it on from the muzzle end of the stock (again, inside out, and with the muzzle end of the neoprene sock going on first). Then when it's in the pistol grip area you lay the insert on the stock and roll the sock over it -- which orients it correctly. Took me 5 minutes, with some slight trouble. Now I could put one on in thirty seconds. I'm very pleased with this purchase, and I'm sure others will be, too. Do NOT shoot with poor head position -- you're wasting ammo. This is WELL worth the purchase.

Nähte sind gut verarbeitet, das Material ist sehr elastisch und bleibt wo es sein soll. Die Montage habe ich mir schwieriger vorgestellt als sie war. Der Höhenausgleich für die Wangenauflage ist gut einstellbar mit den mitgelieferten Pads.

oltre al materiale in neoprene fatto bene e con ottime cuciture che impediscono che si possa rompere in fase di montaggio, è comodo poter scegliere l'altezza del supporto. Non è economico ma rispetto ad altri che ho visto ne vale la pena

Schnelle und einfache Lösung ohne irgendwelche Umbauten am Schaft etc. Durch die verschiedenen Schaumstoffeinsätze kann man immer eine Individuelle Einstellung vornehmen - das ist super wenn mehrere Personen mit der Waffe jagen bzw wenn man mehrer Waffen hat und mit dem Teil alle "bespielen" kann. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
