This is not a heavy duty grinder, it works well for light work and not continuously
It doesn’t have enough power, it is easy to use and I use it for grinding and polishing aluminum.

Avoid this like the plague
This tool is hot trash. There's no power. If you put any sort of pressure on the wheel. It overheats extremely bad. I've been through two of these. Neither one of them lasted more than 10 minutes at a time before it blew up. Started smoking and burnt my hand

Good product with a few important flaws
The Proxxon Longneck Angle Grinder is a good product, well made, nicely balanced and easy to use, especially for grinding and sanding intricate bronze sculpture. The machine fills a niche in my shop, in applications where my 4.5" angle grinders are too big and the Dremel is too small and underpowered.I don't like the position of the controls, on the top of the tool. I often hit the power button by mistake and turn the tool off in the middle of an operation. I also nudge the speed control without meaning to. The controls would be better placed on the bottom of the grinder or more deeply recessed. In fact, I think the Proxxon might cost less if the variable speed feature were dispensed with entirely. The speed range is very limited, and the top speed is the only setting most would use.I would have liked a few more accessories to be included; and additional accessories (flap discs, sanding discs, backing pad) are way too expensive.It's a nice tool, despite my concerns, and I think it would be a good addition to many shops, especially if you don't use pneumatic tools.

Don't buy this!
I've only used this item a few times. Grinding and cutting discs wear out very quickly cutting 18ga steel, small short cuts to boot.Was using this today to make a short cut on a 18ga body panel when the motor started to smoke. I may try to use it again, but the motor may be on the verge, or already, burned out.Save up and get a good angle grinder extension shaft to use cutoff wheels with.Edit 9/922: sent to manufacturer to evaluate and repair if needed.. Been waiting several weeks for Proxxon to repair and return this tool. 1 man deep tech repair is slow with no updates unless asked. Poor and slow customer service. Again, DON'T BUY THIS TOOL.

Just what I needed for Goat Hooves
This is perfect for making my Goats Hooves finished after trims!! I had been looking at an item that was twice a much $$ that was solely for my purpose and I tried out a Friends and it was soo heavy! I am so glad I made this purchase, this is light weight and with the Sand paper attachment it’s a breeze to get my Hooves done.

Lacks power and durability
I’m disappointed in this tool. It is underpowered and mine is now smoking and losing even more power. Clearly on it ways to complete failure. The only good thing i I can say about this is the size is perfect. Otherwise it is crappy and i don’t recommend it. A Dremel took works better.
