Our house has all hardwood floors. I have these under all of our area rugs. This brand is the best yet. It is thicker and bouncier than most. I have learned through trial and error that you want the mat to be some-what smaller than the rug. A smaller mat allows for the rug to shift during vacuuming without exposing the mat. Also a smaller mat allows the edges of the rug to remain on the floor and not curl up. It they are nearly the same size it is hard to get the rug on the mat without the mat showing. It is a good way to start an argument if two people are trying to get it just so:-)

The media could not be loaded.  The rug pad has no grip whatsoever on slick floors. It would be great on carpet but not on hardwood. I should’ve returned it but it seemed to difficult to get it rolled back up and wrapped. I’ll use some other grippy stuff under it. I’ve almost fell a few times bc it shifts so easily on the our floors.

I'll be honest and say that this is my first time purchasing a rug pad. Previously, I've had the nonslip pads, that did what they were supposed to: prevent the rug from moving around the floor. These were inexpensive items and I never really thought too much about them.Now having four children and recently moving into a place of my own after a few years crashing at my folks, I found myself shopping for washable (or otherwise very easy to clean) rugs. I was fed up with investing small amounts of money and then having to trash something soon after because my kids got glue on it, or they wiped their greasy fingers on it, or whatever the case may be.In any event, after purchasing some thin washable rugs, I sought out the perfect under rug padding. I needed enough cushion for my littlest who was just beginning to crawl. I needed enough structure to withhold the constant stampede of children.I purchased this because it looked like it could meet my needs, and had a number of positive reviews. I wasn't expecting to be impressed, but I was *hoping* that I wouldn't regret the amount of money I invested in this.I not only have no regrets, but I'm thoroughly impressed with this product. It rolled out nicely, has some very impressive comfort/cushion, and made my purchase of carpet tape redundant. This pad functions in all the ways I need it to- nonslip on both the floor and rug, very nice cushion, and it's just all around a superior product. I'm super happy I decided to buy this. It's been a bit over a month and so far has held up the nearly constant flurry of activity- crawling, door opening numerous times a day, fort building, movie watching, piggy back rides, everything. I simply rolled the pad out, rolled the rug out on top of it, made a very minor adjustment, and haven't had any issues. I haven't needed to reposition the rug, or tape anything down, or hide fraying under the furniture.This has been built to last, and has been built to provide the ultimate comfort and efficiency. I'll absolutely buy more of these when it comes time to get rugs in our bedrooms. For now, I'll happily and enthusiastically recommend this to everyone I know (and everyone I don't know) and continue enjoying the one I do depend on.Thank you so very much for providing this product!

I moved into a new apartment that has hardwood floors only. I bought a nice area rug, but was still missing a little cushion, so I bought this pad with the rubber grip on the bottom. Please listen to this and other review. It is not worth the money. I really wanted this product to be great, but can not tell a noticeable difference at all between having the pad there and not having it there. I even tried letting the pad sit out in the open for a couple days to see if it would expand at all... it didn’t.

Wow...I love this. I bought a natural cotton rug for my daughter's room and it was super slippery and thin!! I popped this under it and it makes all the difference. The rug feels plusher and it does not move at all. I am super sensitive to smells too...I am very aware of how products off gas...this has no smell at all...probably will pick up another one for my son's room. Thank you for making natural products...sick of all these chems!

The media could not be loaded.  Rubber backing my butt. This item is not what it was listed as. Now I have to go through the hassle of packing it back up, returning it, and trying to finding something that is what it says it is. Something that won't slide around on the hard floor it was supposedly intended to go onto.

This is the second time I've purchased these rubber backed carpet padding in multiple sizes. They are of great quality and help significantly with underfoot comfort and protecting hard wood floors. The larger sizes under full area carpets stay in place fine with no sliding. I find that the smaller ones especially in open spaces need carpet grippers (for hardwood floors) to help stop them from sliding. Tough job with two dogs who run across them to the front door often! I found that the Tumelu 12 pak large size rug grippers (on Amazon) for hardwood floors work better than anything else i've tried and don't ruin the hardwood. I highly recommend these carpet pads!

We have a handmade rug and hardwood floor. Combine that with a kid running circles in the living room and it can be a real disaster. This rug pad is really nice for multiple reasons. 1. Price - I was like "this is probably going to be crap" but we took a chance anyways. 2. NON SLIP - and again, 3 year old and husband running in circles and it doesn't slip and the corners of the rug don't fold up. 3. Padding - again kids... I lay a blanket on top of the rug and let the 4 month old roll around. It was a little large for our rug but my husband cut it really easily. We will be buying another one for our playroom.
