Great for beginners
This was my second 3d printer I had bought, so I had certain expectations. First off the bed leveling is excellent. I will say firsthand that if you are new to 3d printing I never want you to experience the pain of turning a knob for days and then waiting until your print fails because it’s still not level enough. So frustrating. So the fact you level it with small amounts digitally is awesome, and they provide you with a small reflective looking strip to place between the nozzle and the bed. Something I forgot to do was always make sure to re-level your bed when you put a different nozzle on. (Such as a higher temp or wider diameter) so the bed leveling is awesome. The software is great for beginners. Counting myself among them and having previously used cura I will say that I definitely prefer flashprint. It is smoother to operate and I hate to say it but it’s dummed down and more user friendly. For example, if you import an stl, and the model is damaged it will ask you if you want it repaired. I’ve only had it not work maybe one time out of probably 15.Print quality is excellent. Of course this depends a lot on you and your settings that you have set. But I went from a 400$ machine to this and I can say that out of 200 models I’ve only maybe had 2 fail 1 of which was my fault. Now for the cons, the removable bed is not so great. I am already on my second bed, which they only cost 25$ but still I don’t want to keep buying them. And yes I know many of you are thinking my printing height is too low and I’m smooshing but I’m not. I specifically checked this multiple times. The way around it that I found after ruining this last bed is not to us anything too sharp when removing the print, I ordered I super thin spatula that has been working great. I wish I could find a glass bed, that would honestly make this printer the best! The only other 3d printer I have found in the market that has a bed this size and uses glass is the adventurer 4 lite but they aren’t selling the glass separately yet. And you can tell Flashforge must have regretted the design since they went to the glass for this model and away from the flexiplate. But overall I would give this machine a 10 if I could. Also I am not affiliated with or being paid or compenated by the seller or flashforge in anyway for this review.

High hopes Dashed.
Minimal setup and print ready was the motivation to go with Flashforge. The first prints were acceptable. My expectations are you get what you pay for. In the first few days it started going to black screen and halted. Loud noises increased and cuased concerns and prints began consistently failing.I am bummed out because it was beautiful out of the box and intuitive. I’m a designer and not a 3D printer technician and have no problem paying for quality. But I can’t waste time crowdsourcing what I buy. Fine tuning a printer to get advertised results is crowdsourcing to me.The quality is appreciated and it could be great for 3D printer enthusiast not a designer. It just isn’t for me.

Absolutely fantastic novice 3d printer
This was my first printer and while it may seem more expensive to other products in its class, there's a huge amount of value and convince built in, that the rest don't have as much of.I chose this printer for several reasons, it printed about 95% of the filament material I wanted, it had a fairly large printing stage, it had an enclosure and it has a HEPA filter built into it. When you add all of that together, you get feature and option rich product that's extremely quiet and is capable of producing amazing output.Initially I had an issue with an optional extruder that I purchased. I reached out to Flashforge Support and they sent me a replacement immediately. When I've had platform specific questions, they've gone over and above to help me, so I have nothing but great things to say about Tech Support. The Pro's:All self containedVery quietSolidHEPA air filtrationExcellent technical supportThe Con'sIt's a bit more expensive than most entry level 3d printersThe slicing software, flashprint, isn't nearly as intuitive or full featured as other products. Don't get me wrong, it works exceptionally well, however when compared to other open source and/or free products out there, it could provide a little more. You can't used non-flashforge extrudersYou can't get the extruder hotter than 265C, which does not permit you to use some of the more exotic filaments, like NylonX or filaments that have either fiberglass or carbon fiber in them. The print stage can't easily be swapped out with something smooth. So far I've printed using Nylon, ABS, PC, PETG and PLA and have had great results. With respect to the printing surface, I purchased a second one and just removed the rubber coating. I can use blue tape or glue stick to treat the surface, on materials that don't do too well on the rubber coating. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't change a thing. This is a great printer to start learning on and take you up through advanced printing. I look forward to learning more with this printer.

When it works its an okay printer but...
My printer stopped being able to connect to any kind of outside source, broadcasting print from the "flashprint" software errors out even though it shows that it briefly connected, both on the printer and computer and connecting a usb gets "please retry" error.the quality of this product doesn't seem bad but bed warping i a common issue from what I've heard and while mine has been usable it is far but being flat.learning curve is terrible compared to other printers I have purchased. bed leveling system is a joke.this sellers customer service has no idea how to assist with things and just reads a script at you and then recommends you contact a difference customer support that was worse.

Great print quality!
Used this printer on several projects. It prints great looking parts. The digital instruction book is reasonably well written. There are a lot of settings that control the output of the finished part. Right out of the box it prints very well. For a beginner it’s fine if all you are going to do is print parts obtained from the internet. If a person has 3-D CAD knowledge, it is GREAT!! Support bridges are not needed for a lot of geometry. No “washing” in a bath of chemicals to remove support materials. Overall this printer is GREAT!! At least so far!!
