I had to do some trials with this solution. The reviewers that indicated that there was little color change were right. So I experimented and used my chlorine vial and put in the Pentair solution and the color was exactly the same as the Phenol Red solution I had left from my original test kit that came with my Spa. The bottom line is use same amount of water as you do testing chlorine or do your own comparison test as I did. Once you find the right combination you will save a lot of money using Pentair brand.

Added to water (5 drops) but so light that it was impossible to read with #3 Acid Demand. No way to contact seller (amazon services) so had no choice but to return it for refund.
