The Wampanoag (A True Book: American Indians) (A True Book (Relaunch)) Paperback – March 1, 2011

An informative starting point for younger persons (appropriate age probably depends on the maturity of the child). I am not Native American, however I live in New England and want my children to know more about the first peoples here than they will in school. The facts are straightforwardly presented with interesting pictures and drawings. I have also learned a lot reading the book and I usually consider myself to be a well-informed adult.

Doing a research on tribes In Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Couldn’t find much information on the Wampanoag Tribe. This book was a great read pictures are done well and easy for a middle grade student to understand. Would recommend.

As part of our research we have expanded our research to include the natives who were here first.

When my granddaughter's class was about to study these local Natives, I found this book which she has read on several occasions and plans to take to school so it can be read to her class before they go on the field trip to see the area for themselves.

This book goes along perfectly with 2nd grade curriculum. There is also a slideshow circulating the internet about the tribe but the book really reinforces it!

This book shares authentic information about the Wampanoag Natives. I currently teach 5th graders. It offered needed information for my class.

Bought for grandkids... they like it!

This product is a must for school Native American research. My students and I have made good use as a research tool.
