It is threaded properly and makes a good seal. Does its job and isn't single use like the OEM nylon bleed screw. Caveat: Need to be careful when screwing it in, since both the screw and the filter housing are aluminum, it can easily damage the housing. Great product
This is a great upgrade for the cheap plastic plug. After several fuel filter changes the plastic screw was worn and this will solve the problem for good!! It works great and color is bright that you can see it. All duramax owners must buy this. No more stripping problems!

As advertised!
Fit perfectly on my 2006 Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax. No more shearing off the plastic fuel filter bleeder screw. This product is exactly what I was looking for. Came with a new o-ring as well.

I'm very happy with my purchase. Aluminum lasts a lot longer than the plastic that was on my Duramax!

Very good, but reuse the OEM o ring
I installed this on my LBZ, the screw is much better than the nylon OEM one. However, the o ring supplied with this screw deteriorated rapidly. I'm not sure if the heat from the engine bay or exposure to diesel fuel did this, but the OEM o ring is heat and oil resistant. The one that comes with this screw is not.

Beats the hell out of the plastic bolt from the dealership that had the head of the plastic bolt break off with the screw still threaded in the pressure thing... Really a plastic effing screw??
