Dear Tooth Fairy Hardcover – January 5, 2004

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! It was a lovely story and both myself and my 5 year old daughter fell in love with it. When I purchased the tooth fairy doll, Amazon recomended this book. I knew nothing about it or the author. I highly recomend it, especially for little girls. Only because it seems femanine to me, the story focuses around a little girl who is having a hard time giving up her tooth. They need it to complete the queen's throne. I was able to get some ideas for our tooth fairy family traditions of reading the story the night before the tooth fairy arrives, leaving pixie dust on the pillow and leaving a gold coin in exchange for a tooth. The book came with a gold coin as well as several envelopes stuffed with letters to the tooth fairy, letters from the tooth fairy, posters and a finger game. The book art is wonderful as well.

My daughter is 8 and loves the book. She actually got it from her school library and loved it so much we ended up buying it afterwards. It's extremely creative and interactive with the little notes throughout. It keeps the child engaged and excited. She reads the book and it is perfect for her age level to do so.

This might be the very best children's book I've ever bought. I didn't let my daughter open it until she lost her first tooth. The story is so sweet, it takes a while to read with all the little notes, it's always a fun time reading together. I've told everyone I know to get this book. The little details in the letters from the tooth fairy are perfect. LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!

I got this for my daughter with the tooth fairy pillow and it exceeded my expectations. The story is adorable and goes over how the tooth fairy knows when someone has lost a tooth and what they do with it. It has really cute little letters from the tooth fairy to the little girl in the book that you can actually pull out of an envelope that is attached to the page and read the letter. One has a little game and another talks about all the different types of fairies. Went above and beyond my expectations.

This book and author are one of my favorites, as a former first grade teacher. I sent this book to my goddaughter who recently lost a tooth. The book arrived to her home in Wisconsin with NO LETTERS inside the pages!! That’s what makes the book special. I am very upset and disappointed! I want my money back.

I was happy to be able to get another copy of this book for my granddaughter as she started losing teeth, but I was disappointed that this edition didn't have all of the separate notes that the original version did. My older granddaughter was completely enchanted with all of the little letters and flyers and she would take them out and read then over and over. I'm sure there were challenges to manufacturing and maintaining this, but it did affect the experience.

This book is so cute. It is a very girly book but my rough-and -tumble 6 year old son LOVES it. What makes the book very unique is the correspondence (envelopes with letters attached to every other page) between the little girl and the tooth fairy. There is a fairy-sized poster, a riddle game, and a coin at the end with a certificate. It helps answer his questions about the tooth fairy: what does she do with the tooth, are there many tooth fairies or just one, etc. For myself, I LOVE the fact that it reinforces good dental habits. A coin for a white tooth in good condition (no cavities!).My brother is a dentist and I just recommended it for his office waiting room!

I love love love this book. Has good humor, and is very creative. it's a back and forth between the tooth fairy and a little girl who has just lost her 1st tooth. each page has a letter or note, some have actual envelopes you can open with little letters or leaflets or other surprises inside. My daughter just adores this book- i bought it for her as soon as she got her 1st loose tooth. I must say though, this book seems geared towards girls. I have already bought a 2nd copy for my daughter's friend's bday.

my girl is into fairies now, she enjoyed it , she liked the letters format...I thought the book was a bit pricy when u take the content into perspective.

Very unique book, I would recommend it to others, especially for little girls with loose teeth.
