flame temps are HOT!
so far this beats out the torches you normally buy at local hardware store. i have two other top brands and this one just flows the flame out stronger. the importance of this is for welders such as myself that need to preheat thick castings such as axles. the other wellington one i have doesn't flow enough gas, so flame only gets to medium temps. the bernz one i have swirls the flame too much so the concentrated heat is only there within two inches of the tip. whereas this turbo touch only lightly swirls the flame allowing it to reach out to 4" at max temps. welders will enjoy this turbo torch.

Pretty impressed with this one.
I'm a journeyman plumber, and although I don't use a torch so much anymore with most piping switching to plastic, it's still a tool I use fairly often. I've mostly used the Turbotorch STK-99, and this torch is very similar. Similar enough that I've been very impressed. Its built-in igniter lights easily, it has an adjustable gas valve that works well and it gets very hot.In addition, it can be used with both propane and MAPP gas. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.
