Ever After High: Epic Winter: The Junior Novel

This book actually came pretty quick. Had to wait like a week but whatever lmao. It came just a few minutes ago and it looked like it came from a library. The poster was already ripped out, so that was a huge bummer for me, and i had to peel off like what 7 stickers!? I’m kinda upset but it is a great book overall and ever after high is amazing.

The book is awesome great quality just like the movie but the chapters are only 3 or 2 pages long and my kid wants to read a chapter a day and it’s not exciting if your only figuring out a small part each day

My daughter is really into Ever After High and reading so when I saw that EAH had a line of books I had to check them out. My daughter is 9 years old and loves the Dork Diaries books but I was looking for an alternative book series to introduce her to. I decided it might be interesting for her to "see into the lives" of the dolls she plays with everyday and bought her this book along with three others as well as the dolls of the leading character in each book. She was pleased to open these packages on Christmas day and seems to be enjoying the books so far :-)

My daughter is a little disappointed with this, as compared to other EAH books. This is short, and seems a bit "younger". Given that's she is not quite 8 years old, that's saying something....

I just right love glittering icy snowstorms and Crystal Winter! :DI have so high expectations for this one! :DI've written this about another book, The cottage in the woods, and in that case I was lucky; I really, really, really love it (my second favorit book of 2016)!But this Epic Winter is kind of a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But for an Ever After High take on the Snow Queen fairy-tale (my second favorite fairy-tale), I expected more.I mean, the movie is nice, and so it is the novelization, overall.I didn't get the extremely wild tale I wanted, but as a movie it is cool. This book, on the other hand, is too short! I don't understand why the authors of these novelizations have to write within more or less 144 pages, because this novel would be waaayyy better with at least fifty more pages! I think that the dialogues are ok about the similarity with the movie, but it lacks descriptions of settings and actions which we can see on screen, and a few times it was confusing!Naturally, I will keep on reading the EAH junior novels, but I would be glad if they would be longer. :)
