Basher Basics: Weather: Whipping up a storm!

I have to admit, there was a time that I was pretty addicted to collecting the Basher Basics books. They do such an awesome job of breaking concepts down and making them fun! The text is friendly and funny but also contains some really awesome vocabulary words. I enjoyed using this to teach about weather in my classroom, and it was a favorite book in the classroom library for a long time. The kids loved the fun illustrations and the way it's written.

The Basher series is great for night-time reading. Each page is a different item, sorted into categories. You can read a few pages, or devour the whole book, either way it works for a good read before bed. The cute descriptions and cartoon images make this a book that's good for a kid who can read to herself or a younger one wanting to be read to. We haven't been disappointed in any of the Basher books yet, especially this one. This is a go to book - the book style & delivery + a natural interest in the weather = multiple reads!

Love this book!!! This one and the Human Body one are by far my son's favorite Basher books. They give just enough information to not go over a young child's head while still giving lots of education goodies. I love the way this series of books adds humor to the information to keep the kids interested in what might otherwise be pretty boring information.

My kids love this book! They are obsessed with the whole line of books! They are all well written and fun to read and they remember everything that is in those books! I am so glad we happened upon these wonderful books! Would highly recommend

My son is a huge fan of these books. They teach a lot about their topics in a funny way for kids to understand. They come with a poster for their wall and have so many fun details.

Very cool book. We love all the Basher Books and use them for homeschooling. Unfortunately, after finding one brand new at a bargain store for only $1.99, it's hard for me to pay $8 or $9 here. I just keep watching the prices for good sales.

My kids have really enjoyed learning about weather with this book. The way the book personifies weather somehow makes it stick for them a little more. I was concerned about the lack of real weather pictures, but the drawings seem to capture their attention and help them remember the information later. The book also came with a weather poster that my kids really like. They talk about it everyday. This is a great book for introducing weather to kids. (Mine are 6, 5, and 3.) They'll learn lots of new weather related vocabulary words.

Enjoyable series. Grandson loves them.

Normally, each of the Basher books has 128 pages, but this book is only 64 pages long. As the contents of the book are interesting and you can learn basic weather words and concepts such as precipitation, I wish the publisher had put more detailed information in the book and made it 128 pages long.

My 9 year old grandson just loves these little books. His first was 'The Periodic Table' and at only 8 years of age, he found it good bedtime reading. These books really do make science fun. 'Weather' is a good addition to the series.

My son is a big fan of all the Basher titles. I wasn't sure if he would like a book on Weather but the pictures are great fun and the text informative but still fun. Another one for the collection!
