This Little Baby Actually Works
You know what I love? I love that we live in a world where I need a computer the size of a stick of gum to tell my Christmas lights when to turn on and off. Because flipping a switch is too much work for modern humans. But you know what? This little Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is perfect for that kind of beautiful nonsense. Under THIRTY bucks. THIRTY bucks for a computer that has more processing power than the entire Apollo program, and I'm using it to make my inflatable Santa wave at the neighbors. The engineers at MIT are rolling over in their graves. The ones who are dead, anyway. The live ones are probably doing the same thing with theirs. This thing is smaller than a deck of cards but somehow packs in WiFi, Bluetooth, and enough computing muscle to run whatever half-baked automation project pops into your head at 2 AM. Want to spoof MAC addresses? Sure, why the hell not? Want to build a retro gaming console? Go nuts. Want to monitor your pet hamster's exercise routine and post the data to a spreadsheet? This little sucker will do it without complaining. And it actually WORKS. Right out of the box. No driver hell, no tech support runaround, just plug it in and watch it go. It's almost disappointing how reliable it is—I was looking forward to a good three-hour rage session troubleshooting drivers. Bottom line: If you need a tiny, cheap, wireless computer for your questionable projects, this is your guy. Five stars. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a doorbell to rig up with facial recognition.

Came as advertised, just what I needed. Great purchase.
I wanted to set up a pihole and this served that purpose perfectly. Great purchase, good quality, and was able to do exactly what I needed to do with it.

The video output on the board is faulty.
Bought for a project to output video to an analog TV. Video output 12 pin. Gpio 18 Does not work as a video output. I checked this output. It can be programmed to output digital signals. That is, the output is working, it just does not output video. enable_tvout=1 sdtv_mode=0 hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1 Commented out all unnecessary lines in the config. It doesn't help. I also tried old firmware. There is information on the Internet that the video output doesn't work in new firmware. /dev/fbo Tried to record noise into framebuffer. Still no edges.Tried three different TVs. Which were pre-checked. Tried to look at the signal with an oscilloscope. No signal. From which I conclude that the board cannot work with an analog video output. The manufacturer is misleading when it says otherwise. I am adding to the review. There is an error on the board and in the instructions. The manufacturer must fix it. The output called TV is actually ground. And the AB output is the composite output. I'm still removing one star.

Great for running a Pihole server!
I absolutely love this Raspberry Pi Zero 2W! I bought it to use as a second Pihole DNS server because we only had one before, and it would take down the whole network every time it needed to reboot or it crashed for whatever reason. Now, we have redundancy on our network. I bought a nice aluminum case with a thermal pad and heatsink fins, and it keeps the Pi Zero running nice and cool. The Pi Zero 2W has plenty of computing power to handle Pihole and Wireguard servers. It stays plugged in right next to the modem and router, and since there is no fan needed it is completely silent. If you need the GPIO pins, then this one is likely not for you unless you don't mind soldering them on yourself. I just didn't feel the need to pay the extra few $$ for that model because I do not need the pins for my use case. If you want to set up a Pihole or you have some other project that needs a little Linux computer, then look no further. I love this little thing!
