Is the 11 kilogram lpg tank the same as the 20 lb. tank?

Yes, and the next size up it will take. We put 20 lb in and lasts a long time. Does not generate a lot of heat, but perfect for Florida winter.

Can you tell me where the batteries are within the unit? Worried about when they need to be replaced. It is not listed in the product manual.

The battery is placed in the container located on the control panel next to the flame regulation knob.
