I purchased this item to help clean out my gutter downspouts that are “S” shaped. Worked well other than being small, but after running it in and out and picking the leaves out , the downspouts got a well deserved opening up 👍. The return spring is a bit strong but it does grip the leaves and holds tight. Overall I’m pretty happy to have gotten this tool to do the job 🙋‍♂️. I highly recommend the tool.

This item works well with retrieving items that fall in the sink drain. Very good to have and the price is worth it

It wasn’t what I expected. I was looking for a long flexible snake that would go down my sink drain. This one didn’t fit and it wasn’t flexible. It may have been user error but I could not use it. I’m returning it.

It did what I needed it to do, I suppose, but I wouldn't say it's the best option for what it is. Its flexibility leaves a little to be desired considered its length, as attempting to get it to bend around the S-Curve of the very first thing its name advertises for (a toilet) was a notable challenge. Plus, in so doing, part of the head seemed to become partially damaged merely from... pushing it. It removed the clog, though, helped get the drain clear, and normally I'd just consider it a 3 star and move on. But it was also cheap, which does help it out. 4 stars.

So my sister, who is 29 years old, dropped her toothbrush in the toilet. Forgot about it. Flushed the toothbrush. The story doesn’t line up, but the end result was a clogged toilet. I thought - it’s over for us. We’re going to have to replace the toilet if this doesn’t work. But it did work!!! But not in the way you’d expect. The claw grabber is actually really strong and great at grabbing. We did some test runs before it got contaminated by toilet water and it had no issue grabbing objects and holding on tight. We stuck it in the toilet and down the pipe and kept grabbing… toilet paper. Go figure. But we kept sinking the grabber farther back into the pipework. I did not expect the toothbrush to come out easily. We were shocked when after just a few minutes the toothbrush came out - and NOT in the grabber. The snake action is actually what got the toothbrush out.

This item came exactly as described, yet I should have done more research. I purchases the 79 inch version. For a typical residential home toilet, that is way to long. I have an S-port, and 2-3 ft would be recommended. Being so long, it is way to flimsy and difficult to push down to utilize the claw. I had a toilet cleaner wand drop into the toilet and thought the claw would be great, yet even with stepping and/or putting my knee on the excess line it was still to flimsy and didn't do anything. Unfortunately, it did not even push the wand through the trap, so required an expensive plumber visit to correct. Recommendation, purchase smaller version. I will look into purchasing a more robust auger, which the plumber had advised me to do with a rotating handle rather than a push down/claw option. If it doesn't allow to pick up the item, it can help push through the trap.

I tried it in the bathtub drain but it wouldn't/couldn't make the first turn as I believe it's a 90 degree turn. The first two inches of the snake are a firm spring around the grabbing teeth so it's not as flexible as I need for that drain. Can't see it as it's in the floor. I've had trouble with trying other drain snakes also. It does work well in the sink drain though as it is the normal U-turn traps. It is sturdy and it is easy to use in a regular drain. I'm certainly glad I purchased it. It's long and easy to clean after using and store.

Was able to get in behind our shelves and retrieve a lost thin bag, amazing!

Dropped a piece of plastic in my lawn mowers fuel tank. Got this on a the off chance it'd work and it did! First time. Very satisfying to use too with the little grabber things.
