Best primer/ sunscreen available with little advertisements
I think the negative reviews come from persons who do not have Caucasian skin and find that it leaves a white cast. Those persons should try out one of the tinted or slightly tinted versions. As a Causation woman, this sunscreen is very matte (I never have to blot my oily skin) and it covers dark eye circles, redness and other imperfections. I get compliments on my beautiful skin which it is definitely not at all! Blackheads, redness, dark spots, dark under eye circles, you name it! It blends easily and you don’t need much to cover your face and neck. I do not need to use any foundation when I use this primer/ sunscreen. And it really lasts with no breakouts ever. Please give it a try.

Physical sunblock
Buy a tinted and non-tinted of the facial sunblock and mix the two together in the palm of your hand to get your shade of skin before applying. This sunblock is so gentle you can apply it around your eyes and it won’t irritate them.I have been using this for years and it is a physical sunblock using titanium & zinc. If you have problems with the sun and blister, like porphyria, lupus, solar urticaria, skin cancer….this is the sunblock for you.

A sunscreen that really protects your skin.
I love the Cotz tinted sunscreen. It is 40 proof and has really protected me from the sun. I wear it year round ever since I had developed skin cancer from when I was a young girl. My dermatologist recommended it to me a few years ago. I have had really good success with it. I like that it is tinted and makes you look like you have a year round tan instead of with other sun protection products that make your skin white when you use it. I have white enough skin without using products that make your skin look even whiter. I highly recommend this product.

Leaves white cast
I have fungal acne and very sensitive skin and while I was happy this didn’t make me breakout and worked, it leaves a white cast. I tried rubbing it in right after using my moisturizer and blended it as much as I could but still leaves a little white tint. For lighter tones this won’t matter but if you have dark skin like me then you do notice your skin appears less clear because of the cast

FINALLY
Finally I found an spf that doesn't burn and irritated my skin. I have many chemical allergies and was using the banana boat sensitive sunscreen but it burnt my skin and left me with rashes. This hasn't irritated or burned my skin but it does leave a slight white cast/ can become gritty on skin. Which is normal with physical sunscreens.

Where’s the tinted product
Why is the tinted primer sunscreen no longer available? The non-tinted one does not disappear completely and even after foundation is applied, some ashiness shows through.

The only sunscreen that doesn't break me out
I prefer this non tinted version to the tinted version. I have used both, but I want to see where the cream goes and the tinted version blends in so well I don't even know if I applied evenly. This white version is perfect. It also has an extra plus in its UVA rating (PA++++ vs PA+++), even though the percentage of active ingredients are the same. I probably don't use the required 1/4 teaspoon when applying it to my face, so it goes on perfectly sheer without obvious white cast. I am Asian with relatively pale skin.So far after a week of daily application my skin is very calm, without any signs of breaking out. I have tried so many sunscreens and all of them broke me out after a few applications. This sunscreen is my holy grail and the only downside is the high price for such a tiny tube.
