MTTC Elementary Education (103) Study Guide: Test Prep and Practice Questions for the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification

Not sure if this book will prepare me for the test. The practice test seems really easy, but when I take the practice test online, the questions are more difficult than this study guide. A lot of the questions were not covered in the book. My advice is to look at other resources before you sign up for the test and expecting to pass after reading this book.

Please do NOT make the mistake I did and use this as a study tool for the MTTC. While well written and a valuable resource for BASIC elementary information, this book is NOT a reliable representation of the MTTC. The practice questions were NOTHING like the questions on the MTTC. I failed and was crushed because these are glowing reviews. I'm beginning to think these high reviews are from employees associated with Cirrus.

I used this book to study for about a week before I took the Elementary Education MTTC computer based test. It was very helpful, had just the right amount of information, and I passed (April 2017) the test on the first try. The learning theory section in the front was all just extra information but everything else was very accurate and helpful!

I studied this guide for a week and passed the test the first time I took it. I thought the book included the right amount of information regarding the industry jargon and goals. If you have any concerns about the test, this guide is definitely worth the money.

I used this study guide and I also used 240 Tutoring to help me prepare for my Elementary Exam. I passed on the first try! This study guide was very thorough with the content information. I also discussed how to teach each area and the quiz questions helped me to remember the information better. Thank you!

Read three guides, this one the best. Very on target with test content. I passed on first try. The core subject content is excellent, though I found the Art and PE sections weak and less relevant to the test content. Other guides seemed to have random facts related to elementary ed. Well worth it.

I am preparing for the test to be taken next month. I have been studying the material in the book and I must say I am feeling more and more comfortable about the test.

So far I have really enjoyed how much I am learning from the Study Guide, and praying that I will be fully be prepared for the Elementary Exam. The content is a lot tougher that I expected.
