Best smelling oils. Super calming and helps put me to sleep. I ordered another bottle as I got the first one in a set and liked it a lot.

I've always had a hard time falling asleep, I'm one of those people that HAS to take melatonin or z-quil on a regular basis. I decided to branch out and try a different/more natural approach so I decided to go with essential oils. I read up on a bunch of different types and I was pleased to find this one that has almost all the oils that help with sleep. It has: chamomile, clay sage, copaiba, lavender, Peru balsam, sandalwood, sweet marjoram and ylang ylang oils. It actually has a really nice smell to it, and it's strong, if you get it on your hands you'll be smelling it for awhile. I've been using a diffuser that sends out a mist for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. I just turn it on while I'm getting ready for bed then once I lay down it only takes about 15-20 minutes for me to fall asleep! It's great! I stay asleep through the night and I don't wake up groggy. My boyfriend even noticed that he's been getting into a deeper sleep lately. I see on the reviews that people put the oil on their feet and that helps them to sleep, I haven't tried that yet but I definitely will be doing it soon. I did receive this product from the seller for a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion but Good Night essential oils has definitely earned the 5 star review. They produce nice, high quality oils that actually do what they're supposed to. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes using essential oils, or anybody that has trouble sleeping and doesn't want to be taking sleeping medication every night. It's a natural alternative that's just as effective!

Good Sleep Essential Oil (Comparable to Young Living's Peace & Calming Blend) 100% Pure, Best Therapeutic Grade - 10ml - Includes Chamomile, Copaiba, Lavender, Sandalwood & More First, let me start off by saying that this Oil blend of Chamomile, Copaiba, Lavender, Sandalwood & More has a very powerful smell to it. Just a couple of drops and the smell lingers for hours. That being said, I wouldn't recommend it to people whose sinuses are very sensitive, which probably isn't too many people. For the rest of us, who can stand a strong but pleasant smell, and that includes myself, I would highly recommend trying this product. While the smell lasts a long time, it is a sweet and pleasant smell. However, I find that Good Sleep Essential Oil did not help me sleep any better at night. It is more for leaving a lasting aroma in the environment and on the body. The Good Sleep Essential Oil gets major respect for its strong, long-lasting smell. It is more useful as a perfume than a sleep inducer. For that reason, I did not give it five stars. So I would highly recommend it to people who like pungent smells. I would not recommend this product to those who are adverse to an odoriferous smell.

It may seem like I digress, but I am going to relate what MY experience is with this essential oil. It very well might not be the same for you. I have a wrist activity tracker that not only tracks steps during the day but measures the quality of my sleep at night. By "quality" I mean, it charts how long I sleep and calculates what percentage was "sound or deep" and what percentage was "light" sleep. Please note the caveat this activity tracker states in it's literature: "Deep sleep represents the more restful sequences of sleep and provides the largest contribution to how rejuvenating your sleep is. Light sleep also has a valuable but less understood role. These classifications of sleep are intended for consumer sleep tracking to understand quantity and quality of sleep and are not equivalent to medical sleep cycles and measures." I would underline this last sentence if I could. So we can agree this tracker is a rather primitive method to measure quality of sleep. That being said, I have been tracking my sleep since December 2014 and at best, I would achieve 50% of each kind of sleep. Most of the time I enjoy a little more light sleep than deep. The first night I rubbed a 1% dilution (with almond oil) on the soles of my feet, my activity tracker showed twice as much deep sleep as light sleep! I was astounded. So I started experimenting with it. Skipped the oil some nights, applied it some nights, and got the same readings. This last week, I skipped it 4 nights in a row and got the 50% readings. Last night I applied the oil and got 4 hours and 30 minutes of deep sleep and 2 hours and 36 minutes of light sleep. I do not know if we are supposed to have so much deep sleep so I cannot say this is a good or bad thing and I still wake up 2-4 times during the night with or without the oil. This has been my experience. Weighing in on the aroma controversy: I love this recipe. It smells very calming to me.

This is an updated review. My original review was for one star, but it occurred to me that I was comparing this to much more expensive oils, and it was an "Apples-to Oranges" comparison. These are "economy" oils, and for the price you pay these oils are actually pretty good. They do not last as long as more expensive oils, but when you can buy three or four bottles of this compared to a single bottle of the more spendy oils you actually come out ahead. The scent of "good night" and other varieties of this brand are quite pleasant, just expect to go through them faster than premium oils. Where you might want to be concerned is the claims of purity, both of the source and of the concentration of these oils, but if you just want some inexpensive, nice-smelling oils, these are a good choice.
