He thought it was funny thankfully. I was worried he would get offended at first. lol. I read some of the pages from it aloud to him, and I think he could learn a lot from it. If he actually reads it. This can be a satire/joke gift or it can be a serious gift. I think I’ll order one for my son and write in it, and gift it to him when he’s a teenager. I got his Dad one too. It’s a really nice book and I was expecting a paper cover and got a nice hardback cover. I’m going to read more of it soon before I give the other one to my son’s Dad. It’s cute and even has some little infographics on some pages. Review: I was Frustrated w My Son When I bought This, but Was So Happy when I Read It!!😜😜 - This little book is so great! I bought it for my 12yr old because I was frustrated w his behavior lol. When it got here, I flipped through the entirety of it (because I didn’t want to give it to him w/o checking it out 1st) 👍. It’s actually full of really GREAT & pertinent info about life & how to act! It’s “How To Not Be A Dick!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s pretty straightforward,& written in a humorous way that makes them want to read it. I’d def recommend it for all those pre-teens/teens out there..just as a guide ! It’ll make life easier! 🤗🤗🤗

Reinforces Good Behavior In A Fun Way
Really a good book for underlining for all of us, even those of us who should know better, what behavior is tolerated and not in polite society. Since I can be a thoughtless dick at times, I need all the reminders I can get... As a 51 year old, I loved the Dick & Jane-style artwork since I learned to read with the "Dick & Jane" and "Tip and Mitten" books 45 years ago. Little lessons are taught in humorous ways without being condescending and I thought the continued references to cheese logs were a nice touch.

Whatever gets them to read!
My son was a little embarrassed when he opened this gift on Christmas. (He is 14) I notice this book appearing around the house and it looks as if it's been looked at on occasion. It's actually a serious book about etiquette with some mildly vulgar language, as the title implies. Advice is written in snippets accompanied by cartoon illustrations, which makes it easy to pick up and read casually. I try to find anything that will catch his attention and entice him to read. As a bonus, this book gives good advice on social interactions and appropriate behavior.

Not just for young men!
I bought this book for my husband because when he gets stressed, he acts like such a dick and many times I get triggered when his behavior turns childish. SO, I decided to buy him this book and hold on to it and give it to him when he starts the unwanted behaviors in the hopes that it would diffuse an argument. Well it worked like a charm, I simply walked away from him as he was getting really worked up and came back with the book and gently set it on the counter. He looked at it and started laughing and that ended what would have turned into an argument! BUT, he took it with him on a fishing trip with his buddies and came back and said they all got a good laugh but were all surprised at the good advice inside! 😳 Didn’t see that coming!! WINNER!!

great for every situation
Positively practical, straight forward and right to the point. I only wish I’d bought the hardcover! Great for every age

Par tof me thought this book was written in satire...but the other part of me (the part that actually lives in the real world) feels this is an incredible tongue in cheek jab at how people can be so "dickish". I laughed, so it was a few dollars well spent. It could also be a very useful tool to curbing someones bad habits. A "funny" christmas gift perhaps.

Gave it to my nephew for his 17th birthday. He thanked me for it soon afterwards. Read it straight away. Loved the advice.

I gifted this book to a friend of mine who’s a dick. He never stopped being a dick after reading (not even sure if he read the whole book) but the look on his face when he received the gift was priceless 10/10 would recommend.

Hilarious gift idea. My sister really saw the funny side on Christmas. A few added post it’s to point out a few key ideas in the book helped.

Apart from the title- the book is not funny nor informative. It seems the author copied a whole lot of sighed tins you get on those Chinese crackers at your local takeout
