As long as you have a flat bottom cup this works great, if anything its too hot. A setting between medium and low would be perfect for me but I can deal with medium. The only thing I noticed is that the surface of the plate has a bit of a high center. My mug wobbles a bit and I was concerned that the poor contact would impact the heating, but it still works great.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this in 2020 after starting my new office job. It was perfect for what I needed and worked great well into the pandemic when I had coffee and tea nearly every day at my work-from-home desk. I especially like that the heated element is indented/recessed slightly to avoid accidental tip-over and even if it does, it can contain some of the spillage. I disagree with others that it is hard to clean - just wait until the heating element is off before taking a wipe or wet paper towel to clean. Temperature control is good, keeps hot at the highest setting and warmer at the middle setting. It worked so well that I bought another for my partner for his desk and he loves it.Product was great until it died a couple days ago. Suddenly changed to flashing blue lights and won't turn on the heating plate. Tried unplugging/plugging back in, cleaning, etc and nothing worked. Will be throwing this in the trash and hoping that the one I gifted won't see the same fate. So, great while it lasted but saw similar reviews for longevity and wanted to share mine. Buyer beware

This works well but does not get as warm as I would prefer. It's adequate.
