I was thrilled to find this 'old' style of the Reisenthel Mini-Maxi shopper. It's far superior to the newer model that has a plastic zipper and bulky hook. This design with the 'bellyband' elastic is genius in its simplicity. It's soft and pliable and has no hard plastic parts, bulky zippers, hooks, etc. It's just soft fabric and soft elastic, that's it. It's extremely lightweight and flat so it takes up little space in a pocket or handbag. It holds quite a bit and is strong. I've carried home very heavy loads (e.g. multiple liters of water and a 5 pound bag of flour) with no problem. It does take a bit of practice to remember the origami-like way to fold it up, but once learned it's easy to do. To clean this bag you can throw it in the washing machine and then let it air dry. I'm stocking up on these now in case they disappear again!

This bag is made of material that rolls easily into a small footprint, and at the same time it is sturdy enough to carry heavy groceries with no problem. I purchased it because I had another one from the same company that was given to me over 10 years ago, and it is still going strong. None of the other bags that I have tried have been as convenient or long-lasting.

This bag is perfect for what I need it for. I keep it folded up in my purse and use it as a spare bag when I forget my real grocery bags or when I find my hands full. The main reason I like it is because it’s compact. However, this might not be great as a reusable grocery bag. The handles are short and the material is too flimsy for a bagger to efficiently load it up. Notice that the handle on the bag I received is much shorter than the one shown in the product photo. This bag is very much like an oversized plastic grocery bag.

Folds into tiny square. Soft material that is smooth and pliable. Sturdy and quiet, no scratching sounds.

I bought two of these bags when the Container Store carried them. I wasn’t sure how much I would use them, but found myself using them all the time! I just bought three more!Maine now charges for bags, so I always keep these in my purse. They are sturdy and strong, but fold up so small. I highly recommend them.

Best bag ever! I tucked this in the bottom of my backpack for a 3 week trip through Italy and it came in handy SO MANY TIMES! I had a bag for the pool. Used it as a shopping bag many, many times (why pay for a cheap plastic bag when you have this?). My husband thought I was silly but even he came to rely on it. Everyone should have one tucked in and handy. I will echo what a few reviewers said: the straps could be longer so that it could be a proper should bag. But I still love it.
