Derma Pre Shave Powder Stick

Perfect if you use an electric shaver. Helps prevent burning your face due to oil and or moisture on your face and neck. Does not harm the shaver. Just need to clean it out sooner vs waiting a week. Easy to apply and no mess if used correctly. After a few uses you will get the hang of it.

I've only used the item a few days. First impressions are I like it a lot. Some other reviewers have commented that this product breaks apart easily. Having read that, I was careful to have just a bit of the powder protruded when I applied the powder the first time. No problem. The powder went on easily without anything going awry. This powder seems finer, lighter, and less compact compared to Remington Face Saver, the only other powder stick I've used as a pre-shave. I'm just being careful in having a very light touch when I apply this product to my face. I've been satisfied using Remington's product in the past and probably would have purchased it now except for its high price. I couldn't justify spending $50. So I decided to take a chance on this product. It was only $20 (still a lot in my opinion), and I figured I could always take advantage of Amazon Prime's return policy if I didn't like it. So far, so good.

I used to use pre-shave powder stick that Norelco made decades ago and liked it. This stuff works pretty well although it goes on very thickly and it's better to spread it out to a thin layer. Feels good on the face and works well with a Braun Series 9 electric razor. The price is a deal breaker for me though. I won't be buying it again because at about $20 it's 4 times more than it should cost.

A friend of mine, who had worked as an electric razor repairman (yes, they did exist at one time!) recommended this to me. I had been using Williams Lectric Shave with mixed results. This stick is a huge improvement, as it’s not messy and your razor will glide over your face. You get a closer shave if you apply Blocmen before you shave. This stick lasts a very long time, so although not cheap it’s worth every penny. Highly recommended!

This item did not appear to be brand new; it was not sealed shut and opened easily--powder was over it and crumbling inside--especially since it was expensive--disappointed

No problems with the items, order, or delivery. Price has gone up considerably over time, but this seller was the most economical of those shown.

The product arrived with the stick essentially loose powder. It cam apart when the top nwas removed. It appears that this product can be hit or miss depending on the stick you received. The binding agent is not consistent as other buyers have indicated. The producer should have better quality control. Sending back the one I purchased so maybe the product will be better next time.

Well, I don't really "love it", but then again I don't really love shaving to begin with. So, why the 5-stars? I've tried many different electric pre-shave preparations - including gels, oils, UNO (a mix of powder starch in a liquid medium), creams, lotions and soaps. I was using UNO for quite some years until one day they ran out of it on Amazon. I ordered this Blocmen Pre-shave on the off chance that it would work if I mixed it with some water (I actually tried witch hazel too). It did work that way but then I found that it worked even better applied dry, like the directions say. What's so good about it? 1. It actually works as advertised - giving you a smooth electric shave. 2. It has virtually no scent - something hard to find in any shaving product. 3. It's very inexpensive per application - only a fraction of the cost of UNO for example. What I've discovered: 1. Apply a stroke at a time and immediately rub it into your beard. This reduces its tendency to fall off and rain powder all over the place - a complaint I've read in other reviews. 3. Follow up after shaving with medicated witch hazel - aah!

bought these for the last twelve months very good you get a great shave no rash, only problem is the chalk gets into your electric razor.
