Yuki Cross is a first-year student at Cross Academy. As a member of the Disciplinary Committee, her duty is to keep the infatuated Day Class students from chasing the beautiful Night Class students, all while performing the important task of protecting the secret of the Night Class, that all members of the Night Class are, in fact, vampires! The Night Class was intended to end a long history of conflict by promoting a peaceful coexistence between human beings and vampires. As Guardians, Yuki and her childhood friend Zero are tasked with protecting the coexistence of the Day Class and the Night Class. Unlike Zero, who sees the vampires as enemies, Yuki believes vampires and humans can coexist.

Lovely Box Set and Epic Show
I originally saw Vampire Knight because my best friend pestered me to watch it, and I was hooked by the end of episode one.The show captured my imagination -and my heart- for the vampires. For me, thats saying something, since I don't normally like vampires. I've been toying with Learning Japanese since I first saw Vampire Knight, and I now find the original Japanese somewhat useful when wanting to see if they said what I think they did.I enjoy both languages of the show, though I chiefly prefer the English dub since I adore the wonderful cast they have, and it was the first way I saw the show.---Packaging and DVD's---The version I saw was the Copy the library had, and while it initially disappointed me -at least a little- at the fact that the first disk is double sided, however, I'm completely used to it.Recently I decided I wanted to see it again, and so I bought season one. Please note that when the Description says 'Complete Series' 'Series' in this case means 'Season', so no one gets confused. The case is the size of a normal DVD case, with a slip cover. Episodes 1-4 are on Disk 1 Side A, while Episodes 5-8 are on Disk 1 Side B. Episodes 9-13 are on Disk 2 along with a Relationship Chart. My case came with a sample chapter of the first Manga inside, though everyone else says theirs is empty.All-in-all, a great product, and a wonderful show to watch again and again!

Season 1 boxset of Vampire Knight is pretty cool.
If you love Vampire Knight, then you'll love having this boxset. I appreciate boxsets of series I'm going to watch over and over again because they take less shelf space. The voice acting is great in both Japanese and English. The animation is beautiful. The characters are deep. The story about the politics of vampires is intriguing. The 5 star rating is totally for the series itself. However, I am extremely disappointed in Viz's packaging. While I patiently waited for a boxset to come out, I was annoyed by the packaging. The DVDs themselves are flip discs. In other words, there's no artwork on the DVDs because you have to play side A and then flip it to side B. I hate those kinds of DVDs. They are extremely easy to scratch. It makes me reluctant to buy the season 2 boxset, which I really want. I'm hoping that Viz will make more of an effort and package the 2 seasons into 1 boxset without using flip discs. (I'm not sure if that's the technical name for them. It's just what I call them.) I would have much rather had 3 DVDs and paid a few dollars more than the flips. Also, there was no insert artwork in the sleeve. If I didn't love this series so much, I wouldn't have bothered buying the DVDs. Viz's new approach to saving money making DVDs is making me want to save money not buying them.

Exactly As Advertised
Of course it helps that Vampire Knight is such a wonderful series itself, but the DVD is in great shape, arrived quickly, and has all the episodes and features it boasted. The entire Season 1 is on there with some really neat cover art on the inside and outside of the case. It comes in Japanese with English subtitles and English dub (a relief if you're like me and had to watch the show on hulu the first time in only Japanese!).I would recommend this purchase to anyone who is a fan of the series and would like it in his/her collection. The show has adult themes but is safe for any child 13 and older. For me, this is one of the best stories surrounding the vampire saga I've seen in a long time. ("Twilight" and others greatly pale in comparison.)Hope you enjoy!

I don't usually write a review...
However, this anime was amazing. From the opening music to the closing music. Everything about it screams gothic and the music really puts you into the mood with what the anime is all about: darkness, romance and secrets. I don't usually write a review...I think this is my first one actually, I just had to say this is an amazing anime. It took be my the neck(;D) the first episode and I was hooked. I bought this and just finished it right now...let's just say I already bought all next season already :) I love Zero (even more so since the man who dubs his voice is the main character from the anime AIR TV, which I recommend as well.)Can't wait to find out what happens next...I hope Zero ends up with Yuki. >w<!!!<3

Vampire Knight: Complete Series
This movie is the best i was so happy when i got it, I thought it would be like the other one I got which was Vampire Knight Guilty but i was wrong and Vampire Knight Guilty is really good too. I got my Package on time there weren't any delays so when it came i got really excited and watched it, and I fell in love with it, it is Amazing!!!! I started watching vampire knight on youtube but it was in German so it was kinda hard to understand.( LOL) I also started reading the comics so that is why i started watching the shows because i wanted to see everything too. My favorite Caraters are Zero And Yuki. This Movie is Awsome trust me on that.

Not exactly what I was expecting...
As I very much enjoyed the manga of the same title, I was looking forward to seeing the anime. Seeing that it was a great price for the complete series, I bought it without hesitation. Imagine my disappointment then when I get to the end of the discs to find it is NOT truly the 'complete series' but rather, perhaps, season one? I feel that is a bit misleading. Also, just a little note; there are two discs, one of which you have to read TINY writing to figure out it's two-sided. (I missed all of the episodes on that disc and was really confused by the 'end'). I accept responsibility for being a ditz, but just wanted to warn any others who may not notice said tiny writing. All things considered, I enjoyed this series immensely and can't wait to see the rest of the series. :)
