It fits 1998 Tacoma v4
I have 1998 Tacoma v4. Don’t even buy from other guys because this is the only ignition that fits 1998 tacoma. It took me only 5 minutes to install this. But make sure to keep the other keys for the doors. Thank you!!

Works perfectly and cheaper than other places
Everyday for a week the key kept getting stuck and sometimes key wouldn’t turn. Replaced it by watching YouTube video and it worked perfect for a 1998 4Runner.

Works great!
We have a bunch of Toyota cars and trucks in our family. After a while, the ignition wears out. Usually I don't love Dorman parts. But, this is my go to ignition switch when they wear out (98 toyota tacoma and 96 4runner). Some of the other cheap ones don't fit as well, and are not as well built. I bought one other cheap one, trying to save 5 bucks, and it didn't fit at all. So, this is my go to.

Fit great ,works good on a 2001 Tacoma base
Price was fair. Fitment good. Installation easy. Don't expect to get a key made. You'll be lucky to find a blank. only thing I didn't like about it.

Solid replacement.
Solid replacement for a 3rd gen 4runner. Turns nice and comes with 2 keys. It is a direct replacement and fits right in, only takes 5 minutes and your all done. Only down side is your door and ignition key will not match up anymore, but it's to easy to carry two keys on a lanyard. Great buy in my opinion.

Received damaged – not recommended
It works perfectly, but it arrived with a noticeable dent. The damage makes it look bad aesthetically, and that’s disappointing for a new part. I give it one star and do not recommend it. Since I’m in Costa Rica, returning the item would be more expensive than just buying a new one, so I had no choice but to keep it.

Pops right in
Replaced my old worn out ignition with this one. For a non-mechanic, it took me 10 min and was finished. Watched a YouTube vid and was done with it. Mind you, unless you rekey your doors, you will carry 2 keys…which is what I do.
