The Three Little Pigs

Page 1 - The little pigs ate too much so their mother told them they had to leave. Reading this book to a two-year-old we've been encouraging to eat vegetables, only to read a playtime story about getting kicked out of the house for eating too much? Not a good initial twist to an old tale. A plus to me is that the wolf doesn't get eaten in the end, he runs off never to be seen again. The book is large, and the illustrations are very, very good.I bought this to go with the Melissa & Doug Three Little Pigs playset. The kids LOVE the playset. We set up the three houses, and with a little modification to the text of the first page, we act out the story with the playset.Some folks may think this old tale is a bit too gruesome for children; however, having a child that is a bit afraid of monsters, this lesson is an empowering tale of the little being victorious over the big and bad by making good decisions.

I bought this for our son, whose a little over 2 and obsessed with the story. He loves all the pictures and how the wolf howls at the end. We've probably read it 3 times a day since we got it, if that's any indication as to how much he enjoys it.

Classic story. I purchased this book to replace the version of The Three Little Pigs that came with the Big Day for Pre-K curriculum. I teach students with visual impairments and the illustrations were all very brightly colored and easy for my students with low vision to see.

Nice book with good quality paper & printing and charming illustrations. My 2-year old daughter likes this book.

This book is a fun one for Kindergarteners. It was delivered on time and brand new.

What I expected

Bought for my grand daughter. Wanted her to have the books along with the recording I did of the bedtime story. Brought back memories.
