It Just Keeps Getting Better!
My first experience with ACT! was back in 2002 - I don't remember the version, but I was "forced" to use it (it was the company's choice) and the learning curve was very flat. In other words, I picked it up right away and became very proficient with it. In fact, others came to me to ask questions about how to use the software more effectively. It became fun to work.I purchased a copy for myself when I became self-employed and used it with great effectiveness. For me, it is ultra-intuitive. Everything is laid out in a simple and "expected" fashion so most anyone can get up to speed with it quickly.The latest version is "more of the same... but better." I recommend it highly.I would recommend a computer with above average technical specifications, as it does require above average resources.But, what else can you expect from an above-average (WAY above average) software tool.It will get - and keep - you organized. And make you feel more in control of your professional destiny.And, it will assist you in becoming more profitable as a result.It's your choice.

Much promised .... not delivered!
Ordered to help manage clients. One of the deciding factors for me in purchasing this product was the advertised "mobile device" ability which was clearly advertised on the packaging and in the product description as included in the 2013 edition. Once received and installed I could find nothing on this very key and relevant feature. Spent an hour on the website with no success. I finally had to call ACT, only to be told that to USE this feature(included), I needed to PAY an additional $70 per year. I told them this was false advertising - no response. If that wasn't bad enough, that money only gets you a one-way synch (from ACT to device). Maybe someone should tell them that many companies offer this feature free of charge: Dropbox, Evernote, etc. The impression of this company SAGE ACT, is one of a DECEPTIVE COMPANY OUT FOR A MONEY GRAB. There were very few "New" features in the 2013 "Anniversary Edition" over previous versions. Additionally, I found the installed software slow and cumbersome even on a new laptop with plenty of memory. Overall, liked the concept... but just doesn't deliver and could do without the false advertising.

Worst experience ever
I am working with this product in a small business with around 60 users. I have around 6 sales people using the software and they run into issues constantly. I am work in the IT department and have to deal with this horrible software on a daily basis. Users are always frustrated by this software because it has so many issues. All I am trying to do is INTEGRATE OUTLOOK WITH SAGE ACT WEB and I've gotten around 4 different errors during the install process that I am following from the SAGE website. I've had to research and fix all 4 errors and I still cant get it working. Same story with every version that comes out while I've worked in IT world. Now I'm on hold for 30 mins and have been disconnected twice and my signal is perfect. This company has horrible software and horrible customer service. I would not recommend this software to anyone; especially people in IT. Waste of time and money. BTW this is SAGE ACT 2013 Premium Web I am working with. Same sort of issues in 2011 premium (non web).

Customer Support does not exist
New version arrive about every 2 years and if you don't buy the new version you get ZERO support. Any upgrade to Office, particularly Outlook results in compatibility issues. If you call for support, all they do is try to sell you updated versions or a $99 technical support session. The software never really worked as promised. Easy to get bogged down in usless features. I regret the purchase and regret even more the hour I wasted with customer service. Stay away from this company all together.

Low grades all around
I once used an earlier version of ACT, and needed to upgrade due to system requirements.My disappointment is understated.The calendar frequently fails to show recurring events, and everything I've done seems ineffective (Including calling their "Gold" Member support line- prepare to speak to Steve in India).Crashes are too common, and it's slow... really slow.
