My cat is old - 18 years - and recently her fur has become a bit matted. This is probably due to her not being able to groom herself properly. I have been brushing her with a little Pet Teezer brush for a while and this is quite good but when I came back from holiday I found her fur was matted on one side - because I had not been able to brush it while I was away, of course, and she would not have tolerated the lady who was feeding her doing so. I opened the box the brush came in with scissors, and the hanging loop nearly got snipped - this would not have mattered to me because I don't want to hang the brush up, but maybe you do so be careful when opening. I showed the new brush to my cat and put it next to the old brush so she could sniff it before I used it. I only did a very small amount of brushing the first time, and I always stop brushing if I think she doesn't like it. I don't want to put her off the brush! The second time I used it just by chance I had been eating twiglets beforehand and she obviously liked the smell or taste on my hand, so while she enthusiastically licked my left hand, I brushed her with my right, and was able to use slightly more pressure. This seemed to loosen some of the matted fur and it started to come away. I feel that with regular daily brushing I will be able to improve her coat and hopefully get rid of all the mats. The brush does what it says it does - removes loose hair, and quite a lot of it - certainly more than my other little brush. Press the button and the bristles go in so you can remove the fur. This means the brush stays nice and clean, easily. It feels comfortable in the hand and is good quality, and a great price. Highly recommended - and no-one has paid me to say so! PHOTOS - 1st photo is my 18 year old cat. 2nd photo is the brush with fur removed all at one time. 3rd photo is a close up of her matted fur. 4th photo is the clumps that I found next to her on the blanket - they had come out of their own accord and as this has never happened before it must be due to loosening by the brush. UPDATE - With the help of the brush and carefully pulling apart mats with my fingers, and re-brushing, I have now got rid of ALL the mats on my cat, so I am really pleased, and so is she. When I use the brush on her, she purrs, and starts grooming herself on the bits she can reach.

This is the most amazing cat brush I have ever bought. The brush is very lightweight to handle, and it is easy to clean with minimal effort with the simple push of the button that is underneath the brush. Not only is it smart, likeable in appearance but it is very easy to use and glides through the fur of our cat with ease and she has very long fur. She really looks forward to being brushed and is happy as soon as she sees the brush and is happy to lay on the spot, even flops on her side and purrs as the brush goes through her fur. The brush also doesn’t tug and is gentle and indeed massaging and relaxing on her like the description says. I would highly recommend this brush as I bought to try it out, but I have had other brushes in the past, but this is the number one brush that I would recommend for all cats, absolutely brilliant, very useful and a very happy cat, if you are curious about this brush, I hope that everything in this review is helpful for you, but in my opinion this is the best to get, there are also an nice selection of colours of these brushes to choose from. This brush always gives good and smooth results, our cat’s fur looked amazing after the first use of this brush, she looked smooth and like she had been to a professional groomer. 100% recommend this brush and 5***** Thank you so much!

It brushes through my kitten’s semi-long fur well and is easy to remove the hair afterwards. It’s design is simple to use and appears to be good quality.

The brush is good and the cat loves it. She starts to purr which signals relaxation and contentment. Regular use helps reduce shedding fur. She often falls asleep while using, Happy cat!

Really good brush, used on a Labrador. Holds all the hair until you eject it. All the hair comes out when you press the button, doesn’t clog in the brush. Coat really well groomed. Comfortable to hold and brush, unlike others. My dog has quite a dense coat, but this really removed the hair, she loved it, I love it!

My 9 month rescue kittens love it so I suppose it's a good training brush . Dose not take out enough hair from the coats though what it dose remove is very easily removed from the comb with the push of a button .

My cat used to hate having his hair brushed now he can’t wait for it to, think it’s because the brush isn’t very harsh and also the mechanism you click to remove all the hair from the brush is great very easy and clean, I like this brush :)

This is the best hair comb for cats with long hair it layers. I have spent so much money on different combs and brushed they claim that works. This combs works. It’s durable , easy to remove hair , and it does not cause my cat to react or injure cat like some when you use . I am not disappointed in my purchase. I actually bought 2 . I gave one to a friend.

This works. I brushed my cats with three different brushes yesterday and today when I tried this one it actually pulled out some more hair and isn’t flying around. Perfect. Don’t waste more money on brushes. Just get this.
