Very happy with quality, cost, and pluck foam sizes.
Wanted a case to pack in checked baggage for upcoming flight. Compared several brands here on Amazon and decided to purchase this, others were $50+ but being waterproof with pressure relief valves seemed unnecessary to me for packing a firearm. I was able to fit my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 45ACP 3.3" quite well, the pistol also has a Crimson Trace LL-808G Laserguard. Plucked out space for 3 7-round mags and a 50 round MTM case (found here on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013R8DCG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I had a set of MasterLock #240 locks that fit well also. Only plucked out the 1st layer for the pistol, the ammo box and mags are 2 levels. The case has 2 layers of pluck foam and a slim foam base underneath.

Ok for the proper use.
So for the price this isn't too bad-- If you use it for its intended purpose. It's not designed to ship something through the airlines with. It's not heavy enough for that kind of abuse. However it's fine to store your gun in and to carry it back-and-forth to the range with. As you can read in the description there are 3 layers of foam. The bottom and top layer are of what I would describe as medium density. The middle layer-which you could swap with the top layer if you so desired, Is a lighter, coarser foam. The foam in those top 2 layers will pluck out in 3/8" segments. In the photos the coarser phone is on the top. The latches are fine and they actually resembled the latches on the case that came with my Walther PPK. The hinges are actually snapped together. There is not a continuous rod that runs through them. So if you drop this thing with some weight in it there's a possibility that they could pop apart. However if they did not break you could simply snap it back together again. Interior dimension isFront to back-7 and 1/2 inches To where the handle intrudes into the body. Its 8 1/4" in the area to the sides of the handle.Width-11 7/8" right to the edge of the box.

Almost great...
The case is small and nimble, lightweight and easy to set up, and if it was not for the flimsy construction it could have been great. A Danish farm girl could probably tear it apart with her bare hands, but it will work okay to keep very small children and very old ladies from getting to your piece.

Great Value and Good Quality
Just what I was looking for and fits my 380 and 2 clips easy. Foam is better quality than some of the others cheaper cases out there. Came with handy metal pocket tool card too. Best value and quality for the cost. I’m totally satisfied with this purchase.

Decent case
This was perfect for what I use it for. I keep my pistols lined up in my safe on a shelf with cases as these. It is hard enough to protect from a drop but not so bulky to take up too much space. Well designed slide latches as snap latches wear out too fast. The olny reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is due to it's price. I feel these cases are 5 -10 dollars higher than they should be.

I can't trust it
I did like the size and the foam . But I can't see how this is that approved. The thickness is flimsy. I wouldn't trust this to secure my firearm on a plane.
