love it!! I only started sourdough 2 weeks ago and my friends who’ve done it for a long time are amazed at how well my scoring is already going- I think it’s all because of this lame!! Easy to set up and use. Blade is very sharp and provides a clean scoring. The blade over keeps accidental hand cuts if you are rooting around in the drawer where it's stored.

This lame is great! It has a nice grip and a good length to give you enough control over your cuts, while still giving enough strength to give nice, deep cuts. It comes with a nice leather sheath to cover the blade, so you don't have to remove the blade and replace it every time you want to use it. There is a super straightforward guide for putting the blade on the handle that was really easy to understand.

Bought the lame to score the bread for my new sourdough bread hobby. The lame is well made and inexpensive. It includes replacement blades and a thin leather cover to protect the blade. I didn't like the flimsy cover and wasn't comfortable with the mechanism for attaching the blades to the lame. The mechanism requires you to thread the lame through two openings of the blade, which requires you to be careful to avoid cutting yourself. I wanted a safer mount and found another lame that uses a single screw to attach the blade.

You feel like an artist using this handy device! The most enjoyable part of being a sourdough baker is the scoring of the dough before baking and this little tool is a must have for that portion of the experience. It comes with plenty of replacement razors, but I haven't had the need to replace the first one I ever installed on the handle. It comes with a protective pouch when not in use. It's a very good price for this handy tool; you'll be happy you chose this product! Happy baking!

Very nice quality and discovered that after I bought it and actually used it the exact same one is used by a “bread baker/influencer” that I follow. Guess I made the right choice. Easy to use, extra blades and I believe I will get a lot of use from it. Price was spot on for a beginner like me as well.

I did write a negative review a day or so ago, but now have to come back and say that I gave the lame another try of putting it together. It miraculously went together easier (maybe since the razor had been bent a little from the earlier try). And I just happened to have a dough going in the refrigerator for an overnight stay, so would be able to score it with this lame. It worked very well (me not so well because I wasn't happy making just one easy slice down center). Again I say ... it worked very well. I'm so happy that I decided to keep it.

Excellent product. Quality construction. Really like the little red leather cover for the blade. A big the step up from my single-edged razor blade!
