My old router finally died so I needed to do some research to replace it. After a lot of searching around, I came up with this router, which seemed to be very capable for a relatively inexpensive price. The router came intact without any problems set up, was easy with the provided app. I set mine up as a second separate network from my Internet providers device. I connected it to the cable modem by pre-existing ethernet connection at the side of my old router, then follow the instructions on the app And I was up and running in less than five minutes. I have had no problems, connecting with any of my devices, which include security, cameras, thermostats, laptops, TVs and iPads. My son works from home for a software company has been running his work operation without any difficulties, and we have not experienced any limitations with regard to bandwidth or speed. The range of the router is quite good without any dead spots within my 5000 square-foot home and garage. We even have good signal outside around the pool. I will summarize by saying this is a great router, for the money does what it says, and it’s easy to set up

I needed an access point added to my network. I purchased this item because 1) It would handle the high speed of my internet provider 2) It would broadcast a good signal for coverage that I was trying to cover 3) low cost. I am not a network/tech guy at all. I was able to connect the router to my internet and used the app to update and install it as a modem. Great now I have a 2nd router but I wanted to use it as an access point not as a router. After it was installed as a router easily able to change the settings on my laptop to make it an access point. It was literally a click of one button and the router made all changes needed to make it an access point. The access point (router) was placed in my garage. It has such good coverage that the TV's in my house now connect to the new access point rather than the original router, even though the TV's are much closer to the original router. Overall a great product. It was sold as a used unit but it had everything in it to set up. It was like new. Shipped and received extremely fast. I live in a rural community and I had it within 2 days even though there was a holiday when I ordered it. I couldn't be happier with the business that sold it to me or with the product. I purchased this router based on good reviews and also because it has a USB port that I can use to plug devices directly into the router. For anyone wondering whether it has said USB port I can confirm: Yes, it does! It also comes with a year of security protection from Armor, which I didn't know when I bought it. It's a nice extra. My only complaint is that it took a bit longer to install than I expected. But not because it was complicated. Installation was very easy in that you simply download the Nighthawk app and then follow the prompts. Easy did not mean quick, though. It took me about 35 to 40 minutes, possibly because of the slowish speed of my internet connection. It just required a little more patience than I expected. But this doesn't take away from my overall positive impression. The router has been working great so far. Overall great purchase!

If I could give a negative star I would. It works pretty good for 90days. Then issuez started. I called support and was told after the "trial period" I would start having more and more problems unless I gave them more money. Shocked and angry is putting it mildly. And of course out of time to return. I'm guessing maybe that's in fine print somewhere. Never again!

I recently relocated to a new home and encountered some challenges with my network connectivity. To address this issue, I decided to purchase a router to expand the coverage area of my Wi-Fi network. As someone who is not very familiar with networking and the setup process beyond what my internet provider offered, I found this product to be highly effective and user-friendly. The instructions were clear and straightforward, allowing me to configure it as a wireless bridge successfully. However, I am now interested in exploring the option of setting up my network configuration myself for greater control and customization. I am thankful for this product. I am exploring more products from Netgear.

Had been using a roughly 8-year old TP Link router. Never had any issues with it, but when we upgraded our internet package I decided it was time to revamp our equipment as well. And whoa, does this thing perform. The app interface is very direct and easy to consume, and seemingly does half the work for you. When we finally connected, I watched our usual double-digit (on a good day) download speed jump to the moon in seconds. It was exhilarating. Watching our internet speed jump by 100s of mbps, screaming at the monitor to see how high it would go, felt like I had put big money on a horse race. Haven't felt a rush like that since the late 80s. On top of it all, the thing just looks mean. The lights, antennae, the sleek angular black body all looks like something out of Transformers. Forget Alexa, now we have a real live Decepticon sitting in our living room. The Nighthawk router dusted off our conception of internet speed with a jolt of modernity. Glad I purchased.

Bought this router to use with our new fiber connection. We don’t yet have that up and running so I installed this router with our current cable internet. We’ve seen a big boost in our home WiFi speed and reliability of the connection. Very easy to set up and install. There was no need to mess with or tweak any settings. Wish I’d bought this sooner as our cable supplied WiFi router box is apparently terrible and outdated. I’m looking forward to using this router with our new fiber connection soon!

This router arrived in two days, was packaged well, and by using the App was so easy to install and use! I had a NETGEAR router prior to this one, used the same name and password, and all my devices connected automatically! I've also noticed internet speed has increased. It's everything I was looking for, at a reasonable price. I haven't tested it's distance yet but others have told me it works farther than rated. I didn't require tech support but the App was awesome.
