Review: Expensive but good quality - I’ve got sucked into Hue lightbulbs and whilst I do think they’re very expensive for what they are, especially the colourful ones, they do seem to last years! I bought these ones recently but have had other Hue bulbs for over 5 years with daily use and they never had any faults (hoping this doesn’t jinx it). I like that Hue works quickly with Alexa/Apple/Samsung etc. so it’s better integrated than other brands. Most of the bulbs I have are white ambiance ones and I’m not sure I get the most out of the colourful ones (I don’t tend to want a whole room in purple/green/red!) but I’ll keep these. As easy to fit as any other bulb, connects straight away. Lights are bright, even on the 800 lumen version. Huge amounts of fun selecting the right one for each film and the bright white is great for working. You can also change the intensity in each setting.
