No official seller nor the console manufacturer gets anything from a product sold at retail and then resold for more on the scalper market - because that extra money doesn't go to them at all, so the loss is increased. Amason might not care, but they don't really make much from selling the box, they make way more from games and accessories (which is why they push that stuff hard when you buy a console). Anyone claiming MS or Amazon get anything from the scalper market is exceptionally ignorant - a person who would pay $600-scalper for a Series S is someone who would pay $300 for a console the normal way and then spend a few hundred on games and accessories which is way more profit for all involved.
