Rechargeable, quality, and well priced.
Everyone wants to be safe when riding a bike, that's why these lights are good. I've been riding them for a few months and so far I am completely satisfied. I use them on my road bike and have used them in both wet and dry weather. So far, that have held up well and almost look new! These lights are not for you to see while riding at night rather they are for you to BE SEEN by other road users. I'll go through the pros and cons. Pros: -Well priced - rechargeable. Much better than the cheap blinkers that you have to replace when they die. - multiple settings from solid light to flashing -rubber strap fits well and doesn't scratch carbon fiber components -good battery life. I can usually get a several long (2+ hour) rides in without recharging - compact, doesn't require a ton of space to attach Cons: -straps are a little tight on 31.8 mm handlebars. Newer and more performance bikes use this diameter for their clamps. When attaching to handlebars with a 31.8 mm diameter, I had to stretch the rubber strap a bit. - works best on round seatposts. Results may vary with a aero seatpost. Overall this is a quality product. I will consider buying a second set when the blinker lights on my commuter bike wear out.

Small and powerful - so far
I just got these in today with a timely "Thank You" email from the seller at Mevell. I am always happier to buy anything made here in the US States(?) They arrived charged up, and well packaged... so I will discharge them before I do a full recharge. The rubber mounting straps were a bit tricky to get "locked" onto the small nibs but the tighter they fit, the less likely I am to lose one on a rough trail. Make sure they were securely clipped into the nibs! They fit my Bontrager handlebars which have a thick middle area very tightly. I like the strobe choices - steady on, fast blink, slow blink. Extra rubber mounting strap in the box. Another reviewer was complaining about how easily their light was turned on (bumping up against items in a bag) but mine seems to be well made and sturdy - no problems with accidental switch-on at all. I actually have to press on the cover intentionally to switch them on and toggle. I will do a follow-up review if anything fails on these lights, but so far I am very pleased with the quality and company follow-up. FOLLOW - UP [Jan 10, 2020] Our bikes have been stored for the winter and yesterday I went to grab something close to one of the bikes, bumped the light and it came on. These lights have been sitting in a cold garage for over 2 months. I think they are awesome powerful little lights. Money well spent.

My favorite bike lights
I am an avid cyclist. I commute to work most days and ride for fun on the weekends averaging 150 miles a week. I have multiple bikes and have purchased a zillion front and rear blinkers over the years. These Cycle Torch lights are my go to. They are bright, easy to mount, hold and excellent charge, durable with a strong metal casing along with being rechargeable. I give them 4 stars only because they do seem to have a life cycle of about a year. The internal switch mechanism seems to give way after some weather and use. However, rechargeble is pretty nice. The LED goes soft red while charging and turns green when complete. I get about 10 hours of use on flash mode for each full charge. I have to admit, the size of the lights and the directed brightness is pretty amazing for the rear flasher. The front light is not a headlight but a great flasher to be seen. Easily the best value and combo you will find hands down. They look great, fit great, are durbale and bright. These are the lights you want.

Great little lights!
Due to the shape of the bars on my new road bike (2017 Roubaix), when a Garmin 520 on an "out front" mount is present, centered in front of the stem, it didn't leave much room for a light to be attached next to it (could have made it work by moving the Garmin off to one side, with the light on the other side, but I like the computer to be centered). Those small/cheap silicone-encased lights would probably work, but it seems like most of them are not rechargeable, and also the lens of the light faces partially upward, which would mean I'd have to see a blinking white light during my ride. Stumbled across a light that mounts on the front of the bars instead of on the top, and this looked like a better solution for my needs, though it looked just a bit too big. More searching yielded the Cycle Torch Bolt, and I think it's pretty much perfect. As others have stated, these lights are best used as "please don't pull out in front of me or hit me from behind" safety/marker lights as opposed to "I need to see where I'm going at night" lights. I actually didn't intend to use this tail light at all, as I use a seat bag and already have a light that clips to it. But I found that the rubber band included with the Cycle Torch Bolt makes it suitable to mount to the bag's attachment point, and because it's rechargeable (existing light uses AAA batteries), I'm going to go ahead and use it. A few minor nitpicks. It's very easy to turn on (just push the lens to cycle through the modes/off). But that also makes almost a given that you're going to accidentally turn it on when you're mounting it. Not a big deal, just a small annoyance. Slightly more significant is the apparent lack of a low battery indication. There's a "low voltage shutoff" feature that simply turns it off when the battery level drops to a dangerously low level, but it would be nice to have some kind of way to know that the battery is getting low before that happens. With my old light, an orange LED on the top would illuminate when the battery was low, so if I saw that during a ride, I'd know that I needed to go ahead and bring it in to recharge (but it would typically still keep working long enough to complete that ride). With the Cycle Torch, I'll just have to remember to be more proactive about charging, doing it once every few weeks or so.

Cheap, effective, easy to operate, and water resistant,
I've been using these lights for about a month now and they are perfect for my bike commute and make for a safer ride by alerting cars and pedestrians. They are not intended to be a headlight for riding in the dark, but are plenty bright for their intended purpose, and super easy to use. Set up and operation is pretty straight forward: Charge via supplied USB, mount to bars/frame, double click lens to turn on, single click lens to change modes, hold lens for 6-seconds to turn off. When charging you see a red light, and when charging is complete they turn green. I only power them on when riding in traffic, which is about 1.5hrs/week, and charge them only once per week. Could probably go much longer but haven't needed to. They have been exposed to light rain and muddy spray from wet trails and still operate just fine. I wouldn't submerge them, but they seem to be adequately water resistant. Time will tell. My favorite feature is how easy they are to turn on and off. You just push in on the lens. I have other lights which have small bottons and are difficult to operate while riding, especially the rear light. You don't need to look at these to turn them on/off, just squeeze and count to 6.

Not Actually Bright... But Has Satisfaction Guarantee
I already have cycle lights but I bought this set because it touted its brightness and I light the design more. Sadly, the brightness is just heavily exaggerated, especially on the tail light. I compared it directly to my current set and the brightness on the tail light is about half as apparent. If you look at the light directly from a distance, you can see it but it's not super bright and if you're looking from an angle, it's hard to see. In other words, it's dangerous to use so now they sit in my closet and I'm using my old set. These are now just a backup set but I'm bummed about that. My one other complaint is that they accidentally turn on way too easily. I read some other reviews that they updated it to double click for activation but that doesn't prevent the issue. I've pulled them out of my bag multiple times in the past week and they were on. I wouldn't recommend them. UPDATE: On the plus side, the company does have a satisfaction guarantee so if you're not happy with them, there's no risk. These would work fine in a group setting or on well-lit streets but not good as standalone lights.

Excellent Safety Lights - Great Brightness and Battery Life!
I added the Cycle Torch Bolt Lights to my bike on the recommendation of a friend and cycling partner who has used the same lights on his bike and I'm really happy with my purchase! The Cycle Torch lights aren't meant for dusk/night time riding illumination but are specifically designed to help keep you safe on your ride, either on a trail or on streets, by alerting others of your presence. Each light offers a few different settings for illumination type from constant on to different pulses. I set both my rear (red) and front (white) lights to pulse at regular intervals to help alert drivers to my presence. The lights are super easy to mount and require no tools. Each light comes with a heavy-duty rubber strap that goes around your handlebars and seat post and quickly and easily mounts the lights. This also makes removing the lights for charing an easy task too. The lights charge via USB (2 cables included) and I just throw them on the charger after a few rides. Conveniently, each light shines a green LED when they're charged. Operation is simple too; two rapid presses turn on the lights and cycles through the illumination settings and a long press turns the lights off. Easy! Great safety lights and something I consider a must have if you're riding on streets. Recommended!

5 hour commute before I feel like I need to recharge them
I ordered this light combo a couple of months ago to supplement existing lights for my early morning commute in the dark. As others have mentioned, I was really impressed with the professional (yet not over the top) packaging. The lights came pre-charged, and I was able to used them the very next day. They put off an impressive amount of light, with a few different settings, for their small size. They also recharge very quickly. I can use them for a few days for a 1.5 hour commute before I feel like I need to recharge them. They still seem to be going strong even at that point, but I don't want to find myself without them when riding the streets. Customer service was outstanding! I responded to Alex at Cycle Torch after he sent an email inquiring as to my satisfaction. I remarked that it would be helpful to have a longer rubber strap in order to fit the lights around my fat handlebars. (The package comes with 3 rubber mounting straps, but all are short. I am able to strap them around the vents of my bike helmet, but wanted the option of getting around my handlebars or seat post.) Alex immediately responded and sent me 2 longer rubber mounting straps (one for each set of lights - I had purchased a 2nd set of the lights when I discovered how great they were!). I'm not one to normally write reviews, but I felt that this excellent product and customer service certainly warranted a few minutes of my time. I continue to recommend these lights to others.
